Good meals ,friendly service , comfy bedroom would recommend out in countryside, but bit hard to find

On the way to this hotel i was thinking when does this road end when all of a sudden it did right into the car park, I was welcomed by Tim (Owner) it was late & was tired 8pm I was offered to order food even tho the kitchen had closed which was a blessing in disguise, so a few beers & food went down well & the banter from a Yorkshire man was even better, the bed was so comfy & cosy it was hard to leave it next morning, the next night i saw the place for its full value & deffo wasnt dissapointed with its open coal fires, food, drink & Banter. Faulty Towers doesnt have a patch on this place I would deffo reccomend this place to anyone especially if you enjoy the countryside,walks or just get away from the busy towns. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff even turning up after kitchen was closed i was offered a hot meal after working all day. My husband and I arrived with our toddler son after three flights to get there from Arizona. We arrived tired and early, but were greeted with tea and a nice place to relax while our room was prepared. Tim was great! Helena was wonderful, too! Our son made himself at home and it was so nice to have a great place for him to play outside. The views were outstanding and the location was convenient to all places where we wanted to visit (Stirling, Edinburgh, and Doune Castle). We loved having a central base to come back to after our days out exploring. We had a great time chatting with other guests by the fireplace each evening. The scones at breakfast were the BEST we've ever had! Our original plan was to stay at a regular hotel in the city, and we are so glad that we chose The Brig instead. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone else looking for a more local feel :)

on a motorcycle ride with my mate, great roads in the area. after a long ride found this place to be clean warm with good beer and good food

it was awsome the service was great and very friendly i enjoyed the country side very much

Not a four star luxury (small rooms) but nice and clean and with very nice hosts and kind services. Good atmosphere, relaxed and really good and tasty food. Excellent breakfast. Maybe lucky to hear/join people playing music Thursday and Friday night. Quiet and remote in the countryside but not far from Stirling and very beautiful nature - and probably a good hotel for fishing too.
