Cosmos - רומא

Stayed here in October 2012. I have stayed at many of these budget hotels/hostels throughout Europe and the 3.8/5 rating as of the writing of this review is way too high. The hotel is clean and conveniently located next to the metro. However, the street traffic is loud by any western European standard. There's traffic throughout the day and most of the evening on road that runs in front of the hotel. Since the rooms are located on the second floor (US system) and floor 1 (Italy system), most of the sound travels there, even with windows shut. When i stayed in October 2012, the central air conditioning had been shut off so it was very muggy in the room with the windows shut. Also, I stayed here for 3 nights and the towels were only replaced once...although this is has happened to me in other places in Europe...so not that big of a deal. For breakfast, you get a ticket for a coffee/tea and a pastry at the coffee shop located 1 minute away from the hotel.

Only 3 rooms in the hotel - it really is a B&B, however, it was clean, comfortable, and very secure. There are a heavy pair of external doors that close in the evening, and the location is very secure. The only downside was that the mini bar didn't get re stocked - very minor point though. Also there is a great shop right next to the hotel, so any budget travellers, don't worry about toiletries, everything you could ever need is available, and at regular prices also! Breakfast is included at a sister establishment up the street. Unfortunately, we did not partake. 5 minute walk maximum to Mazoni Metro station, which is great, and you can walk to the Colosseum in 8 minutes from the hotel. Overall, a great wee place for a couple of nights stay in Rome. Would use again.

We basically had a pleasant stay in the hotel. It might be an appartment which has 5 rooms inside, but in general it was a good choice. The owner wasn't there at all time but the price is very good for the services it provides and it's close to metro station and some good sights. It's also a very safe place to sleep, due to it's tough outdoors with high security lock it has at the entrance. Good for couples and families. Forgot to say that it was very clean, with daily tiding up the room. The only disadvantage it was the breakfast. Horrible...! In general, a good choice. I would go to stay again if i went again to Rome.

Sans carte aucun soucis pour trouver facilement Le Cosmos ( s'arrêter station Manzoni, et c'est la bonne rue). En arrivant, un accueil parfait, on nous a fournit une carte et l'hôte nous a conseillé tout un parcours à faire pour visiter Rome et les monuments les plus importants à voir. La chambre avait une taille tout à fait convenable (nous y venions que pour dormir ), la salle d'eau ( privative avec sèche cheveux ) était assez petite mais bien suffisante et toute neuve. L'ensemble était très bien entretenu et très propre ( serviette et savon mis à disposition ). Tous les jours la chambre était nettoyée. Coffre fort à votre disposition gratuitement. Inconvénient : pas de double vitrage et rue très passagère donc un peu bruyant pour ceux qui ont le sommeil léger mais on s'y fait. Le matin avec des tickets nous allions prendre notre petit dej dans un café toute la semaine et dans un autre le dimanche, ceux-ci conseillés par la propriétaire.Très bonnes viennoiseries, avec cappuccino, caffe latte, latte macchiato. Pour l'emplacement de l'hôtel, il est un petit peu excentré mais tout est faisable à pied du Cosmos. A 10 min à pieds du Colisée, à 5 min de Ste Marie Majeure et St Jean de Latran . Au final un emplacement plus que correct, un très bon rapport qualité/ prix et une hôte adorable et de très bon conseil ! Nous y retournerons sans hésiter pour notre prochain séjour à Rome.

Een zeer goed B&B tegen een zeer goede prijs. Het ontbijt is ergens anders en dat was even zoeken. Cosmos ligt vlakbij een metrostation.
