Residenza Ludovisi - רומא

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, terrible breakfast, good location

We stayed with Residenza for our second leg of our trip to Rome and thought this hotel would be a great location since it is situated near the Spanish Steps. However, we thought it was actually a bit of a walk from the metro and was pretty difficult to find on our own. We actually ended up staying at the Residenza sister hotel a few blocks away because when we checked in there was a power outage. Although that was inconvenient the hotel handled the situation very well. The breakfast was disappointing since they only offered 2 biscuits, hardly enough to prepare you for a day of exploring.

Location from the start was a bit difficult to get to, but once accustomed to the area, fairly convenient location about 5 minute walk near the Metro stop Barberini. I booked for the Residenza Ludovisi but was placed on the second floor called Stylish Room. (It wasn't a hotel style building. More a residential apartment building, and the "hotel" was located on the 2nd and 3rd floors) The "reception desk" was directly across from my room and I could hear everything outside the room. Very noisy. The room itself was cozy, however, not exactly what the pictures portrayed on the websites. Ensuite was small but nice. The amenities offered online were not available in the room as stated..Sky and regular television did not work at all Double bed is just 2 singles put together and you can feel the space in the middle. Breakfast was very basic italian style, and the breakfast room was extremely small..maybe could fit 10 people. Room Rate was a bit high for what was actually offered by the hotel. I've paid less money for better hotels in Italy. The staff however was nice. I would rate my stay as 3 out of 5, but as much as it was not as it was described, I would probably stay there again. It was an adventure for sure, but in the end, the room was cozy, and the staff was nice.

Hotel recently renovated. Some appliances not working efficiently & in process of rectification. Air conditioner although individually controlled can be centrally over ridden, consequently temperature cannot be adjusted to personal preference. Good location, walking distance to tourist sites & Metro stations. Helpful & friendly staff. (A separate question: As stated in your reservation "Hotel.com has charged your card for the full payment of this reservation. i.e. including taxes & fees". However, we were asked to pay additional EUR 2 per person, per night for city tax. Is this correct?)

Great location, new hotel. Poor breakfast, good total price though

Un excellent séjour, avec un très bon accueil et un emplacement plus que plaisant !! Le charme italien est là, tout simplement très agréable !

Un muy buen lugar pra hospedarse , muy buena localizacion , hotel muy limpio, habitaciones completamente renovadas , staff del hotel muy amable, por un precio muy bueno.

tres bien situe,difficile a trouver cet etablissement car il n'y a pas d'indication exterieur voyant,c'est un immeuble et il faut appuyer sur un bouton parmi d'autres pour entrer..pour le reste tout est ok,sauf le petit dejeuner tres leger.

This hotel is in a 5 storey, old building, reception is on the 3rd and rooms at the 2nd storey. Kitchen and breakfastroom are also in the second storey and all the rooms are surrounding those. Walls are like paper and every morning when the kitchen staff came to work, they started to bang plates and forks and all the kitchenstuff around. We are now more than familiar with the sound of coffeemachine. Also I can swear that I heard our neighbour snoring one night. If you are an earlybird, then go, but otherwise I cannot suggest. Staff was nice and everything else worked as expected.

Väldigt Rena och fräscha rum jämfört med övriga hotell i rom i motsvarande prisklass. Läget är relativt bra. Att bo nära spanska trappan, typ strax söder eller sydväst om den är ett ultimat läge om man vill kunna gå överallt. Detta hotell ligger en bit nordöst om trappan vilket gör att man alltid måste gå en extra km vart man än ska. Dessutom lite för långt bort från närmsta t-bana för att det ska upplevas som smidigt att ta t-banan. Observera att hotellet är mer av ett gesthouse än hotell. Rummen ligger nödvändigtvis inte i samma trappuppgång eller byggnad som receptionen (där den enda tillgången på wifi finns). Dock fanns möjlighet att få en bredbandskabel i rummen om man hade med sig en dator. Frukosten i form av yoghurt och nån sötsak, skorpor och marmelad läggs på rummen vid den dagliga städningen, det finns alltså ingen matsal.

Good Hotel, nice and very clean. Nicely located close to a couple of family restaurents. Close to Metro. Easy acces to down town by foot. Relatively noicy during the night due to the garbage collection. The staff is very helpfull, but had difficulties in finding most of the information we asked for. The room are newly renovated to a very high standard.
