Hotel Continental Palacete - ברצלונה

as noted by other reviewers the hotels rooms are small but workable. Classy Louis XIV interior well done. Terriffic snack & breakfast bar.

Location was perfect for me. Convenient to everything I wanted to see and do in Barcelona. Only complaint is that my stay in Barcelona was too short! Would definitely go back.

Very pleased with our stay, staff extremely helpful and room very comfortable.The 24 hour buffet was very useful - we did not have to search for places to eat. My only criticism was the height of the bed. I am only 5ft and slightly disabled and found it difficult to get onto it. Overall very pleased with everything

Chose this hotel because of Tripadvisor guest feed back. We must agree it is a great place to stay in Barcelona. Staff welcoming, friendly, helpful. The 24 hour buffet was great when we arrived late evening on Friday and gave time to go for a walk before bed. The room was functional and clean with lots of storage. Bed really comfortable. A short stroll to city centre along La Rambla for city tours, restaurants etc. Metro around the corner for travel throughout city, 15 minutes to Sagrada Familia. We would highly recommend this hotel and Barcelona to all.

Very conveniently located near Passeig de Gracia and a 5 minute walk from Las Ramblas. I selected this hotel because of its proximity to the Passeig de Gracia metro station which connects to the BCN airport. The hotel staff is courteous and is always ready to help. The best feature was the 24-hour self-service kitchen where you can help yourselves with salads, coffee, muffins, and bread any time of the day. Sitting at the balcony, you can enjoy your breakfast with a nice view of the street junction below and witness the hustle-bustle of the crazy barcelona life. Rooms have free wifi with good connectivity. The only downside was the coffee machine, which broke down several times during my stay and I had to make-do with Starbucks down the road.

Our short stay was brillant and we will use this hotel again. The staff was very friendly and professional.The "self service " breakfast arrangement was sufficient (just) Could have croisants we think and perhaps something else. But a wonderful setting and fabulios building and very very clean.As prices go in Barca ok.Position spot on and close to everything.Nearly all details taken into account in the bedroom apart from tissues that would make it perfect! Thank you.

We spent a few nights here and it was virtually a godsend! I had come off a cruise not feeling well, but the 24 hr. availibilty of fruit & fluids helped in recovery. It was a joy to be so close to all the bus services, restaurants, etc. Kudos to the concierge, Peter, who was extremely helpful and courteous.In other words, EXCELLENT!

We very much enjoyed our stay at your hotel. There were 3 couples in total and we all appreciated the staff's help with everything from taxis, maps, advice, and language translations. All of the front-desk staff were great! Our room was very quiet and clean. Location is perfect.

Nice people, great service, cute room. The breakfast bar was a joke, the beverage server was out of EVERYTHING - it was pretty sad. We wanted to eat out anyway but why offer wine, juice, water, etc. if it's out and never refilled?

We stayed here for four nights recently, and the location couldn't have been better. Five minute walk to Plaza Catalunya and Gaudi houses. The price was unbeatable, the rooms were clean and moderately comfortable, and all snacks, beer, wine, juice, coffee, etc. was available 24 hours. We will definitely stay here again.

I loved everything about continental palacete, was exactly as I expected. The bed was extremely comfortable, the best iv ever slept in. It would be my happy medium between soft/hard .I would like to take the mattress home wit me :)We had a romantic relaxing break away without the children and I chose well. I would like to say a big thank you for the bottle of bubbly in our room to celebrate my partners birthday, much appreciated, It was a toughtful and kind gesture. I would definatly stay here again on return to barcelona.

We were so happy that we booked Continental Palacete for our honeymoon. On the moment we entered, we were blown away by the hotel's beauty. The food and beverage buffet was a great perk, but the building itself was even better. We felt like royalty.

La ubicacion era excelente, la gente muy amable y dispuesta a ayudar siempre. Super recomendable!. Muy bueno el bufet.

Hotellet ligger perfekt til, med gåavstand til svært mange av severdighetene i byen. Betjenningen var også svært vennlige og servicemindede. - Hotellet hadde 24 timers buffet, med bl.a. gratis øl (fat), hvitvin, portvin, kaffe/te, og flere sorter brus osv. Hvis du har med barn, vil de sikkert også sette pris på isen. Det var også veldig greitt å ha matmuligheter til enhver tid, når man kom tilbake til hotellet. Men glem denne buffeten som eneste matmulighet. Til det var buffeten for enkel og må kun sees som et supplement til alle de gode mattilbudene byen ellers har å by på. Man blir også litt lei av å spise med plastikkbestikk og små papptallerkener hele tiden. Brødene var kanskje verst, og mye ville være rettet opp her, hvis brødene hadde vært bedre. - Soverommene var ok og holdt i gammel stil. Men noen av rommene er svært små, eller oppleves som små pga lavt tak. Vi satte imidlertid stor pris på roen, ingen lyd fra noen kant. - Alt ialt, et svært hyggelig hotell som vi gjerne vender tilbake til.

Machinerie bruyante toute la nuit à l'extérieur de la chambre. Vue sur un mur délabré. Buffet 24H00 sur 24 mais pas renouvelé. Insuffisant et insatisfaisant.

Vi blev väldigt positivt överraskade. Vi tänkte väl att det skulle vara lite sisådär med standarden med tanke på det lite lägre priset, men det mesta var högt över förväntan. Det ligger en bit från stranden, men det finns tunnelbana precis bredvid som kan ta en nästan var som helst. Ramblan var precis utanför dörren (rätt högt upp men ändå). Ölkranen i matsalen var ett stort plus (tillgänglig dygnet runt).

Trevligt och charmigt hotell med mycket bra service. Enda negativa är den buffé som är tillgänglig 24/7, vilket är bra, men tyvärr tråkigt utbud och dålig frukost.

Travelling with teenagers the best in the hotel was 24h free buffet with really wide range of food and beverages. Only minus was that the reserved quadruple turned out to be a double with two extra beds that had to be moved aside every time we wished to open the window or the refrigerator - not too much room for anything else. After the first night the staff was kind to offer us one of the suites with extra beds instead, but kids preferred to stay in the double. We learned that in "the sister-hotel" Hotel Continental Barcelona there would have been a real quadruble (even cheaper). Location of the hotel was fine with restaurants, shops and many attractions in walking distance, the avenue in front of the hotel is beautiful and not too noisy. Old town and the beach were easier to reach with taxi, even if in walking distance as well. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel, location and the staff.
