Ritz Hotel - אדינבורו

My husband and I got the "Superior King" room for our one-night stay in Edinburgh. The room was large and comfortable. The decor was a bit dated and the bathroom could use some updating, but it met our needs. The staff was friendly. The breakfast in the morning was a bit lacking but that may have been due to the fact that we were the first ones in for it at 7:30am in order to get an early start. During our stay in May 2013 there was lots of street construction on the roads leading up to the hotel. Our sat nav could not figure out how to get us there because it also didn't know that a lot of the streets are now one-way. The street closures caused us to park several blocks away, which was a major inconvenience when you have luggage to tote around. You may want to call ahead before booking.

Very quiet hotel in the Haymarket area. Close to the rail station and walkable to downtown. When the tram line is running it will be a block away. Hotel room was enormous - probably once a private home, but the furnishings, while clean, were somewhat worn and dated. Still, it was dead quiet at night making me think I was the only guest while in fact, the hotel was full.

The Ritz Hotel was brilliant and a real bargain! All the staff were friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. The location was great, just a short walk to the city centre. We're already planning our next trip, and we'll staying at the Ritz :-)

Location of the hotel is near to Edinburgh Haymarket. Not convenient to get around due to road work and needing detours. Service staff very helpful. Housekeeping should be more regular in checking their soap and shampoo as they were not refilled, despite leaving messages. Overall a very pleasant experience and nice room(s) despite being a little cold.

The hotel is eclectic vintage in style, which we found charming. The staff was super friendly, which was appreciated. The maintenance in our room was not up to par. A light was burned out, the shower head was broken and the floors squeezed a lot. If you aren't picky about those things, the rate is good and there are tons of shops near by plus easy short distance access to the train station and express bus that goes directly to the airport.

The staff were very friendly and the bed was very very comfortable. Both my wife I enyoyed the quiet of the street outside. The hotel is in need of modernisation, but then so what! Would we stay there again. Yes and we will. This time Ireland will beat Scotland

I stayed the Ritz with my son for 4 nights in February. We arrived at Edinburgh Waverley station and caught a train to Haymarket Station- there were lifts at both stations and the hotel was only a 5 minute walk from Haymarket Station. Our room was quite big and very comfortable and there were pubs and restaurants close to the hotel.

Nous avons dormi 4 nuits dans cet hotel fuscia bien située en ville, à 20 minutes à pieds de presque tout, à côté de la gare de Haymarket, super pour aller à Glasgow et en plein sur la ligne de bus Airlink (aéroport). Par contre, gros problème d'insonorisation... et propreté variable... Mais, j'y retournerais.

J'avais fait une demande spéciale à l'Hôtel Ritz à Edimbourg, à savoir, ne pas être situé en étage car nous avions des bagages lourds et encombrants. Résultat des courses, nous nous sommes retrouvés au dernier étage de l'hôtel, preuve que l'établissement n'a pas tenu compte de nos demandes. De plus, il n'y avait pas de pression sous la douche, et la température de l'eau très difficile à régler. J'ai donc trouvé le prix de cette chambre très chère par rapport à ce que nous nous attendions.
