FLC Halong Bay Golf Club & Luxury Resort

I stayed at FLC Ha Long Bay for 3 nights in November 2019. I found the location stunning - you can't beat an elevated view of Ha Long Bay. The hotel is brand new, only 2 years old. There are many parts that are very nice...the appearance from the outside, the lobby, etc. However, there are some things that aren't ideal - it's a cheap flooring in the rooms, there are some craftsmanship issues that you notice - like too much grout in the shower, tiles that aren't quite square, flooring that leaves a small gap to the wall. There are also just some things designed poorly - like a slippery tile in the indoor pool area. And the pool is next to the gym - meaning that because the pool area is heated and moist (to keep swimmers warm), the same warm moist air is in the gym - so the gym is 24C-25C or 75F/77F while also being humid. This makes the floor slippery and a workout very uncomfortable because it's so humid. There's also just some sloppiness with the processes (not the staff, they're very good). For instance, checking out took a while because there is only one credit card reader - seems like something that should be fixed. Alex, the assistant GM I think, is excellent. He was super helpful at all times, very friendly, and relatable. I highly recommend him. The golf course is pretty awesome too. Immaculately kept, every divot is repaired by hand by the caddies. Every tufts of grass is picked up. I've never seen such well kept fairways.

Solo Guest, Two Nights in October 2019

After booking, I sent a Facebook message to the hotel with no response. Seems like the only way to contact the hotel is via phone, but their staff are not strong in English. The hotel does not have their own transport service to/from the Hanoi airport. Hotels.com listed this as an amenity (during booking) but after calling the hotel, I was told they do not have that service. After getting passed around, I was told they can help in arranging transport via an outside company. Frankly, I was surprised it took so long to get this assistance from their team. The hotel is at least 3 hours from the Hanoi airport. Where a majority of their guests coming from? Anyways, when I arrived at the hotel, I was given a pleasant, warm welcome. The building and rooms are gorgeous. I was told the hotel is only 1 or 2 years old, and it shows. In the restaurants, don't expect answers to anything besides basic English questions. They all seemed like they want to help, but there's a definite language barrier. The overall setting is indeed gorgeous. The golf course was a great time and views were surely picturesque and memorable. The pool also looked nice, but it was a bit too cold for me to try during my trip. As I was leaving, I had a nice conversation with one of their managers, Alex, while the front desk processed all of the checkout paperwork. I'm happy with my stay, but only because I found what I thoughts was a decent deal on the nightly rate.

The best hotel in Halong

This hotel is like a castle on the hill overlooking the shanty towns below. By far the best in the area. The pool is outstanding and the food was very good.

For the price it did not live up to expectation. We were told that it was only 6 months old so granted there would be teething problems. This hotel was not suited for foreign guests, with nearly no staff speaking basic English; coffee, water etc was not understood. The level of professionalism from the staff was not suited for a 4 - 5 star hotel. There were a few members of staff that brightened our day by showcasing excellent communication skills and understanding our frustration. The rest of the staff need some more training and if they know they don't have the skill to communicate not to even bother and make things more difficult. The hotel guests were apualing. We discovered that there were summer holidays so there were a million kids. This would be fine but they were running riot every where in the hotel. Imagine those awful children you see in movies that act like little princess, times that by a thousand and put them in a food fight. It felt like we were in a nice hotel mainland China with people that have just come into money and power and treat anyone not within their family with no respect or ettiquete. There is no proper room service in the hotel so if you want to escape the crowds and enjoy your pleasant room it's a bit difficult. The swimming pool at midday when the masses go inside for lunch was extremely lovely. The whole atmosphere was impressive and relaxing. Next time we will look for a chain hotel where you know what you will get.

괜찮은 리조트

호텔시설은 전체적으로 깔끔합니다. 수영장은 7시 전후로 사용 못하게 하지만 조금 더 늦게까지 해서 야간에도 이용할 수 있게 하면 좋겠습니다. 날이 더워서 그런지 물이 약간 미지근 하긴 해요. 룸서비스로 저녁을 먹었는데 피자 빼고는 다들 기대이상으로 맛있습니다. 조식은 너무 넓은 공간에 한번에 많은 사람이 들어가 있어서 복잡하고 정신없는 느낌이구요. 베트남 현지 분들이 많아서 성조랑 억양때문에 중국 같은 느낌도 있구요.

FLC 하롱 TET 휴가 후기

다 좋았고, 온수가 그리 따듯하지 않아 욕조에 몸을 담그기는 어려웠습니다. (샤워만 가능) 실내 온도도 설정값을 아무리 올러도 실내 24도까지만 올라가네요, 춥진 않았지만 비맞아 언 몸을 녹히기엔 부족했습니다

하롱베이 최고의 호텔

호텔이 신식이라 그런지 굉장히 고급스럽고 깔끔합니다. 내외부에 수영장도 있고 무료조식도 맛있어요. 해변뷰를 선택했는데 앞에 바로 하롱베이 경관이 보여서 너무 예쁩니다. 그리고 직원들이 너무 친절해요. 5명이서 묵었는데 침대가 하나 부족해서 이불 하나 더 달라고했는데, 무료로 간이침대를 설치해주셨습니다. 설치과정에서 프런트 직원과 벨보이가 너무 친절하게 대해주셔서 되려 미안할정도..덕분에 만족스럽게 여행했습니다. 하지만 하롱베이 선착장과 거리가 조금있고 주변에 편의점이 없기때문에(택시타고 5분가야함) 거리를 염두에 두고 숙박하시길 바랍니다.
