Crowne Plaza Baton Rouge, an IHG Hotel

We booked our room very last min after a softball tournament went very late an we live 2 hours away an our 3 year got very sick . Was very thankful for finding the room an booked came to check in an staff was saying the website was booking rooms that had not been cleaned so she went to check ours and came back an said we were good to go. Get in the room can’t wait to bathe an rest an the room is very nice beds look great . Then there is a huge stain on bed looks like make up an they just remade bed with dirty cover an then into the bathroom there are brown streaks in toilet. An a huge hair ball stuck to wall next to tub . We didn’t call down because it was already 11 pm an we needed rest. At 9:45 am housekeeping was banging on door an trying to open not once but 4 times.

Crowne plaza decided to move me to another hotel due to ovwr booked and bc i went through a 3rd party. Horrible customer service from the front deak to thw manager!!! So disappointing!!!

We stayed here to get away from the ice, lack of power and lack of water at home. The hotel was in great shape, our room was comfortable and the shower was much appreciated.

Check in a breeze. Room hi tech with geewhiz lighting controls. USB outlets everywhere. HVAC simple controls and responsive. Amentities just fine. Card keys are the proximity kind. Only one key would respond. These things suck in general IMHO. Excellent view of roof and HVAC units. Yuk. No highway noise, we were at rear. Hallways noisy, doors slam very easily. Disturbing. Vending machine on 4th floor inop - only takes bills, bill acceptor dead. Property well maintained, very nice.

The hotel was clean but there were a lot of broken and run down parts of the property. The maids were very kind but they were so short staffed we had to ask for towels and coffee which wasn’t an issue for us. Definitely try the Mexican restaurant that shares the parking lot! Great food and service.

I was given a King room, although I had requested a double. I was also put in a room right next to the vending machine, which was incredibly loud at all hours.

When I saw the hotel online it looked like on of the more expensive places- but it did not deliver all the lux so here’s how to prep so you get the bases covered. The room was fine but the food services were slim. We had complimentary water all along the stay at 4 other hotels- but here we had to pay $2 per bottle. No food is free for breakfast- It’s 2.50 for a yogurt and 1 per fruit. I HIGHLY recommend going to the Waffle House .3 miles away instead and getting that breakfast. As usual Waffle House gets breakfast correct. Friendly and clean and great all the way around. Hotel vending was only located on the main floor so lots of trips up and down for drinks. The hygiene products were tiny so prep for your own or ask for extra. Highlights were awesome gym, friendly staff, and comfy bed. This hotel welcomed our service animal at no extra charge and we are appreciative of this as well. As long as you prep for the little things- it’s a great spot to stay.

Room was overall clean, food was left in the refrigerator from who ever stayed prior to me.

This was the worst experience ever.. This hotel was very nasty and dirty.. The room looked like it was never cleaned properly they also had ants in the bed .. I was very disappointed
