The Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort Villas & Spa, Cancun

This hotel is simply one of the best in Cancun. I went for the first time 10 years ago, and 10 years later I find it just as beautiful. Hard not to stay here again if I go back to Cancun.

We truly loved our stay at the Westin Lagunamar resort. The service and staff were exceptional, kind, sweet, accommodating and professional. They all made us feel pampered and valued, so much that we were sad when it was time to leave. Super clean, incredible location and the food at the pool was great too!! We loved being able to walk across the street to the mall!

The location is excellent.The pool area is great; however, the units are older and need some updating.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. Had to wait a bit for one of my rooms to get ready during check in. Staff was amazing especially Cesear. Rooms were neat. The downfall was there was no room service cleaning, I stayed in 3 other hotels during this same period and we had our rooms cleaned daily upon request except in westin which was weird. My second room AC wasn’t working properly so it was hot at night. The food in the restaurant was great. Location great. Overall my stay was pleasant.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Much better than we expected for a Mexican resort. This more closely resembled a resort in the US.

I will start by saying that this was the most breath taking resort I have ever stayed at. Pure beauty in every way. I booked a Villa for my birthday stay and specifically booked for the infinity pool and jacuzzi bathtub in the room. After a night in the pool, and at the beach and a long drive from Tulum, I was excited to get my margarita and go enjoy my jacuzzi tub. I turned on the jets and tons of nasty looking black stuff started coming out into the water. I requested maintenance and they sent someone who simply drained the tub and then picked out the leftover (what I assume was the last guest’s skin flakes and butt dirt) from the fresh water and then acted like that was enough. I asked for bleach at least so I could disinfect it myself and was told told no. This is during covid when cleanliness should be extra and it was lacking. I called the front desk and the lady that answered was rude. She told me it was enough that maintenance fixed the jet and claimed the black stuff came out because it hadn’t been used in so long due to Covid and claimed that it was run and cleaned right before me. Obviously a lie. It was late at night but they should always have bleach on hand. Unacceptable. But besides that, the beach was unmatched, the pool was unmatched and I loved that I was across from La Isla mall. I may stay again. The manager offered to make it right for my next stay.

Be careful they overcharge your credit card over all I did have a great time the pool is beautiful the hotel has everything you need pots and pans microwave so everything was great just the employees (idk the name of the one that charged my card ) but they over charge your card so check your transactions.

I felt lied to a lot by the concierge dept. I learned very quickly not to listen to their feedback, instructions, opinions as what they said did not appear to be true.

Frustrated... not so good ! Cold jacuzzi, short menu at the restaurants And I got sick in Mexican food.
