DoubleTree by Hilton Denver - Westminster

Never stay at this hotel.

At 3:30 in the morning the day of my first stay someone tried to get into my room. Or, I should say,!someone had a WORKING KEY to my room that unlocked it. I was staying alone and should’ve had, in theory, the only working key ti that room. The only thing stopping them from coming in, POTENTIALLY ROBBING AND MURDERING ME was thankfully I’d put the deadbolt lock on door. At 7am I went to front desk and told Angel, front desk, what happened, if they could check their security tapes and he said “I’ll have to let maintenance know that some of the keys are working on multiple doors. Someone else mentioned something like this earlier.” AND THEN NOTHING. I never heard if they’d done anything. I wasn’t accommodated in any way (didn’t expect my money back but thought maybe an offer to switch rooms to feel safer at bare minimum). I slept with the chair propped against the door as added peace of mind for the remainder of my stay. Never, I REPEAT l, NEVER stay at this hotel.

Home away from home

The front office staff Hunter and Angel were amazing. They were super friendly, made my daughter laugh, and helped us with everything we needed. We had to be in town for a horrible tragedy and they were so warm and welcoming. I can’t tell you enough about how much that meant. The room was fantastic, clean and spacious. The hot tub and pool are interesting but we had fun splashing and relaxing. Overall a fantastic stay!

Had a great stay

The warm cookies with check in were awesome. It was very quiet. Breakfast had a big variety The bartender made some great martini’s

Comfortable

Our check in went smoothly and was quick. Hunter was very efficient. Loved the warm cookies!! Lobby and restaurant downstairs were spacious, clean and very new looking Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Carpets in room and hallway on 2nd floor didn't look as new as downstairs but were clean. Breakfast was a good price and lots of variety. Yummy!!

Terrible!

My bathtub wouldnt drain. Asked three times to have it fixed and never was. Second day toilet stopped flushing. When maintenance came to fix that while I was gone they left my door ajar the whole day with all of my belongings in my room! Then when I tried calling the front desk to complain, the phone in my room was not working. No offer to put in a new room, had to shower in standing water all weekend and they left my room door ajar! Never again!

It was a good stay. A couple of front desk clerks were very helpful, especially Danielle. It was clean and pretty quiet. I would stay there again.
