Wyndham Santa Monica At The Pier

The location is great! Only a few steps from the Santa Monica Pier. The lobby is beautiful however the rooms are very small and not very clean. The windows were dirty and could not open to get fresh air. The AC smelled pretty bad for the first hour but they have air cleaners on the wall so I guess that made it better. When we visit Santa Monica next time we will stay at a different hotel.

Location is great. Service at front desk is great. Room - the window A/C fan is loud and runs off and on during the night. If you are a light sleeper, beware. Also, the free Wi-Fi is verrrrrrrry Slllllloooooowww. It was faster to use my 4G phone as a hotspot.

Dated hotel, could hear people out on street yelling and fighting most of the night. Right by the pier which was nice but not worth the money

Our room was very small. For $506 a night we felt like we were in a tight space. I thought for some reason we would be able to get a clear view of the ocean but our window over looked the street. So kind of disappointed about not being able to view the ocean from this hotel. Windows were very dirty so it was hard to see the very little part of the ocean we could see. I was the first to walk in the room and I opened the curtains, come to find out there was still trash along the curtains. So not to happy about that. Overall I wouldn’t come back. Front desk and valet parking/bell boy was very friendly and helpful.

A few homeless people were shooting up outside the hotel. After running the LA Marathon, I was told to get out of my room asap. We requested a late checkout when we checked-in the day prior. We were under the impression we had until 3pm. It was humiliating to learn we needed to "get out asap" after being told we had the extended check-out. For $530.00 I expected the hospitality to be a bit better. Yet, we were kicked out and shown no consideration for being told we had the late check out option. We had no idea the offer was revoked and we were forced to leave. It was humiliating. The front desk staff watched us leave as if we were incompetent and untrusted. It was humiliating.
