Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach

I would love to rate this hotel 5 stars because the location and rooms are beautiful. But hotels.com severely misleads customers with a description of a two bedroom. I paid twice as much thinking I was getting a two bedroom suite for my family. Only to find out they don’t have any two bedrooms. And it’s a one bedroom suite. I am left feeling like I overpaid significantly for what I received and it was a major inconvenience. Plus a $75 dog fee is ridiculous!

This is a nice hotel but with all the COVID restrictions it is not that much fun to travel. The staff is militant with its mask-wearing policy(which I know is a good thing). There is little restaurant service, no maid service. It's like that all around town. The rates aren't that much cheaper so all in all, if I had to do it over again, I would just stay home.

I had really high hopes for this trip since we were very excited for this trip but it did not meet our expectations especially for the price we paid. Once we got to the hotel we noticed a VERY long line, I had to get out of the car and stand in line because we were doing circles around the parking structure to find a parking spot. My husband had to park the car across the hotel where I guess you can park but was not mentioned anywhere on the site when we booked our stay. We waited in line for around 1 hour to check in, it was Valentine’s Day so there was a lot of couples traveling. We then found out by another couple who got there early and told us they were denied an early check in and the hotel was not letting anyone check in earlier than 4 pm. This was extremely stressful because we had dinner reservations for 5:30 pm that night and we were forced to cancel it. We managed to still have a good night even though the odds were against us. What bothers me is that the hotel failed to control the large crowds in the lobby while waiting in line and people were very close to each other and not allowing 6 feet of social distancing. I wish the hotel would of handle the situation better, especially since we had stay at other chain hotels without an issue.

The hotel was great and there was a lot to do around the area. The parking lot was full but the extra parking around the hotel let us use our hotel room key for validation. That actually came out of the $10 fee. I went into the booking knowing that so I wasn’t bothered by it. I would definitely recommend staying here. It is a wonderful stay. The restaurant in hotel is awesome and they do have room service!

This hotel is a 10/10. Check in was simple, front desk was so kind and welcoming. Room was very clean, very nice. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced in any hotel. Aqua was a lovely view while having a drink and breakfast. Parking lot was convenient, however there is not enough parking at all for this type of hotel. We drove in a circle for 30 minutes waiting for a spot, then finally Adan came and told us where we could park, and it was a certain area and he was so nice about it. I highly recommend this hotel. Beach front and it’s just wonderful.

Easy check in, very friendly staff. Bright & beautiful lobby. Elevator have to be swiped with your room key, and at times would work & were slow. Location fabulous, right on the beach. No room directly face the beach, but most windows/balconies should give you a great side view of the ocean. Balcony was great to have. Beds were pretty comfortable, clean & modern decor. Only down side was the bathroom vanity. No where to place a toiletries bag for one, let alone 2 people. Lounge with patio seating onsite.

We arrived at 8pm, the lady at check told us the restaurant was closed. The other lady working reception told her new arrivals the restaurant closed at 9pm. When I heard that- I asked our gal if it closed at 8 or 9. She again said 8. Knowing when the restaurant closes is low hanging fruit when we told her it was along day and we were hungry. It was 9. Also- there was no parking.

Amazing accommodations at a fantastic price. This is our new mini-vacation spot. Extremely careful w/ COVID-19 protocol. Shout-out to the wonderful night clerk - she was so friendly and helpful. We will be back very soon!

I paid for an executive suite with an ocean view and instead got the view of a garage and the street. Also I woke up in the morning and found dirt lining my bed. I want a full refund!!! Both managers Lorenzo and Dylan were made aware of the conditions and the refund request, and told me to get this done through Hotels

Girl at the front desk was extremely rude and disrespectful... room was paid for in advance and she insinuated that we didn’t have enough money to stay there.... as if it is some glamorous establishment. Didn’t feel like it was necessary to tell her that I make triple her income and that a hotel of actual stature wouldn’t hire a team of people who treat people that way. Every customer should be treated with respect... with out us there would be no business. Will never return
