Best Western Premier Executive Residency Detroit Southfield Hotel

First of all, I called and was told booking a king bed (as shown in pics) would give me a room in the “tower” part of the hotel. Upon arrival, the same man I spoke to on the phone earlier said no, my room was in the other part of the hotel which I didn’t want, unless I paid an extra 30$ something which I did. Right away the room smelled like cigarette smoke (the “nice” room) and that someone had tried to cover it up. There was a hair in the shower, dust and handprints on the headboard, and a bottle cap in the trash bin under the bag. Not good sound barrier in the hallways, as you can hear every door open and shut to the point where you think it’s yours. Pillows on bed were small and bed wasn’t the softest. My biggest complaint is the fact the hotel has deceiving advertising, you are shown a picture of a room you would in fact not be getting upon check in.

Very dark, not upgraded, location perfect to all freeways and many dining options...Kerbys Coney Island, Shields, Nikolas ...all my must have when back home

Very nice people running the hotel. The water pressure in the showers is horrible. The room was semi clean could have been better.

The building looked cool on the outside but was not very nice inside. Someone was smoking weed in the room next to me and nothing was done about it.

Nothing unique but well maintained property and an amazing view.

They had no ice on our floor. We had to search 9 floors to get some. They had no microwave in our room so we had to eat cold food. Our phone was never plugged in to begin with and we saw no phone jack so there was no service or a way to contact the front desk for info unless we went 10 floors to the lobby. The room was somewhat clean but very small.

When I travel into Detroit Mi, I stay here and the place is wonderful
