Holiday Inn Detroit Northwest - Livonia, an IHG Hotel

Pool was not clear at all. Hot tub was out of order.

The stay was good. Housekeeping could use some more training in cleaning the bathrooms (i.e., scrubbing the tub and tile, shower curtains replacing them when they are worn and no longer waterproof), cleaning the elevators (i.e., wiping the walls/doors and mopping the floors), I would say that some of the front desk clerks could probably use some more training in etiquette/customer service (i.e., greeting customers properly). Other than these few things, the stay was good.

The hotel was convenient, service was fine, however we did check in a little later in the evening and they were out of a lot of the Marketplace items. We were really just looking for bottled water, but they were out of that too

Blackout blinds had remotes that didn’t work. We had a dark room for 2 days. It said on remote “does not work”. No regular coffee in room. Just decaf. Didn’t know we needed to request the room to be cleaned for day 2.

Great place!!

I was thrilled with this hotel. Simply put it is classy. The decor is gorgeous in the lobby and the room. It has been updated with card tap entry into the rooms. The beds are super comfortable! A must for me. There are a ton of little amenities that make your stay feel special: a tabke in wheels, 2 plush chairs, a small bench to sit in, plugs that all also have usb, Keurig with coffee, tall mini fridge, lighting all around the bathroom mirror..simply a great place. The pool and hot tub were small but very nice. You should definitely stay here. Didnt break the bank either

Overbooked - No room available

Arrived at hotel and was told they had overbooked and didn’t have any rooms available. We had three adults and had booked a double queen room. Front desk clerk made a call to someone and came back saying they had one single king room available but the window blinds were broken and could not be pulled down. I asked if they had any rollaway cots available and was told no meaning one of my party would need to sleep on the floor. They also did not have any extra blankets, only sheets to offer. The clerk said they would give us a good discount and since it was late we agreed to take the room for that night. The front desk clerk stated she wasn’t sure how to credit my account but she would figure it out that night. I still have not seen any credit to my account or message stating how they plan to credit me for the discount I was promised. Very disappointed in this Holiday Inn!

It was a little mishap at the room they assigned me to, but they right on board and gave me a different room, they were also very pleasant to me.
