OYO Hotel Mt. Vernon KY I-75

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Hotel manager and his wife were very helpful. They even called us to let us know we forgot our pillow.

Standing water in the shower and mold all over the shower - except for where the spider webs were. No smoking is assigned by simply placing the no smoking placard in a room that’s clearly a smoking room. Only two guests there including me the whole time so I’m assuming we were given their best rooms. Bring your own TP if you do stay because there are no extras in the room and they leave whatever is left from the last guests on the roll. It was 5 minutes from my project but that’s a matter of chance not good management on their end. Quality Inn a few blocks away was packed so clearly the locals know which one to avoid.

Very old and in need for renovations. The room was clean. Price was excellent but you get what you pay for.......

Room was not really clean, we were only there a few hours as we were traveling. They came in and changed the sheets as they didn't look clean. Mostly looked dirty due to age I think. Other than the bed if was ok for an overnight stay. Needs major work in the rooms.

Nice clean hotel very reasonably priced. Easy parking and next to the interstate.

Stayed in threeOYO hotels on this trip. This was by far the best property. Nice friendly staff. Clean property.

I have been traveling around America for the past 2 months now. Mainly sleeping in my car, so a hotel/motel is luxury to me, no matter what type if roome it is, high class or low class. I have high expectations for only three aspects to a room, which ill explain later. I am also not one to walk out, as i cannot afford to. Downside, i can't always get refunds due to how i get rooms for low prices. Hence the high expectations. With that said. This was the first and last time I choose a OYO. The top sheet and thin scratchy blanket were stained, so I did not use them. Towels and wash cloths were extremely used, dingy, and stained. I could not use them. I need three things when i get a room, and they must be reasonably exceptable: Cleanliness, Comfort, and Parking. They only had parking. If I had the money to, I would have walked out and got another place. I also had to sleep through a loud group of perminant residences next door, who finally stoppped their annoying chatter, around 6am. All the rooms in that place, and they give me noisy neighbors. Not again Kentucky, i will be more diligent on my search for a decent room for cheap next time i visit. I wont be choosing OYO anymore, thats for sure. Its now on my list of "Nope not staying there" hotels. I have had way better rooms than this place, for only dollars more.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The bathroom light/AC unit was not working in my originally booked room. After asking staff to move the room number, I proceeded to get another room that was not better, the A/C unit barely put out any air whatsoever, making the room unbearably hot. I must say my biggest complaint was the cleanliness, the room was not clean / kept up whatsoever. Overall bad experience.
