DoubleTree by Hilton Denver - Aurora

I’ve stayed here before, (2018) and thought it was nice to stay at again this year (2020). The hotel itself is nice, beautiful lobby, clean and up to date. The location in particular is not so nice. The first time around I didn’t think much of it but this time was different. My family and I went inside the lobby to eat something and left our car parked outside of the hotel parking lot and at the time we thought it was ok to leave our luggage inside the car because we were just that hungry and besides the car was near the entrance AND it was only 3:30 pm so there was plenty of daytime left. WRONG! By the time we came back (less than 30min by the way) our vehicle was broken into in broad daylight and we were also missing a lot of stuff. It was an honest mistake on our end but we didn’t expect that from a HILTON hotel? No cameras in sight either. We could’ve expected something like that from a lower end hotel or a motel but seriously? The hotel staff were nice enough to vacuum our vehicle and lend us tape and plastic though. Our trip was almost ruined and afterwards I noticed shady people just walking through the hotel parking to get to the street, I wish I would’ve noticed before. Point is Lock your cars and make sure you have NOTHING inside as it can happen in broad daylight.

First off, the perception of cleanliness disappeared when seeing receptionist with 2" long fingernails touching my ID. The warm air blowing unit was extremely loud and i was not able to sleep. I ended up turning it off in the middle of the night to get few hours of sleep and then i woke up to a freezing room..definitely not comfortable. In addition, a housekeeper tried to get to my room at 8:30 am for some reason.

Good hotel very clean , friendly & helpful when needed

Our room was sub-par. It was dated and in poor shape. The hallway carpet was filthy. In the 4 days we were there, it looked like it was never cleaned (vacuumed). The shower nozzle was very hard to turn. When you finally got it to turn, it exposed a huge hole in the tile. Honestly, it just seemed more like a motel than a nice doubletree hotel. With an 8.6 rating, I now will question what folks are rating other places more closely. Big disappointment.

AC did not work. Shower handle was broken. I thought it would’ve been better since it was a Hilton hotel but it was okay overall

Super interior design. Excellent food at the restaurant.

Hotel room was very clean and extra procedures were being done due to the coronavirus pandemic. Housekeeping was very quick to bring me anything I needed. All the staff was wearing masks and housekeeping and restaurant staff also wore gloves. All staff was extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. Jackdaw Restaurant was wonderful! Food was fantastic and staff were fabulous! Nice and open and they were very diligent about social distancing the guests. Pool and fitness room were great too! Will definitely stay there again when I return to the area. Loved it!!

Nice

My family stay was good and the service was good also. There was a mix up with one of the room s for 2 nights but they fixed it for the rest of the trip stay. So all in all it was great to get things fixed without a problem.
