The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto

Great location but overall disappointing

The hotel is perfectly located right on the harbour and a great base to visit all the main attractions. Upon arrival at the hotel we had to wait over 25 minutes to check in at a very chaotic lobby area. The room would have a great view of the lake however, it can barely be seen through the dirty windows. The room itself is very dateda and dusty. The bed was very comfy. Our fridge did not work which we reported on the first day, it was finally fixed on the 3rd day. You have to request your room to be cleaned in the morning you want it done, we did this twice on days when we were out all day, both times we came back to the room not being cleaned by the early evening. The swimming pool area again, is very dated and wouldn't return there after one visit. Outdoor patio area next to the swimming pool area may as well be closed, very run down. Tennis court has no net either. SAFETY WARNING: there is nothing stopping you from going up to the top floor where the 360 degree restaurant used to be. This is now a very open construction site and very unsafe.

Perfect stay for a Raptors date night

This was our first stay at the Westin Harbour Castle. Upon arrival check in was very smooth & pleasant. All the staff was informative and courteous. On site parking was a little tight but still convenient & decently priced with in and out privileges. The room we checked in to had a wonderful view of the harbour. The room could use some updating and a little more attention to detail. Also our television had no signal at all but some one was sent up quickly to look at it. The tv could not be fixed so we were quickly moved to another room which was right next door. The buffet breakfast was pretty good the next morning and had plenty of choices. There's also plenty of dining within walking distance of the hotel. We were there for a Toronto Raptors game and Scotiabank Arena is approximately 3 or 4 blocks away. I would stay here again.

Good overall but limited on site parking issue!

Overall our stay was pleasant, the hotel was nice, the room clean, and the staff friendly. However, the on site parking was full so we had to park off site and lug our suitcases back to the hotel, not convenient! Also the pillows in our room were terrible, flat, not comfortable. When I called the front desk I was told that the hotel had no pillows and they they were very busy! I expected more from the Westin! We stayed at much cheaper hotels that had no problem providing us with extra pillows and who were professional with their clients!

A very nice hotel

The Westin was a really nice hotel. The room was in a very clean condition throughout. We particularly liked the view from our window with a calming view over Lake Ontario. The hotel was well placed for an easy walk to the CN Tower, or within easy reach of the many restaurants scattered around the area. We lunched in the bar one day, and found the food to be tasty . The bar at the top of the east tower was closed during our visit which was disappointing. This was due to redevelopment of the bar so it should be a nice place to visit once completed. We loved our stay at this hotel and if we ever return to Toronto, we will certainly consider staying at this hotel.

Beautiful view, not with coffee.

Lovely stay at Westin. Waterfront view was beautiful. Close to Scotiabank Arena for Leafs game. Disappointed that the in-room coffee creamers had all soured, having to go down to lobby to purchase same coffee. Overall l'd stay here again.

We stayed in the north tower and only 1 elevator was working out of 4. There were line ups to get an elevator at the lobby. We were waiting 10-15 mins. Then when you wanted to get one on your floor you had to wait for 4 cars, finally we decided to take the service elevator by the ice machine. It was the only way to get down with luggage and to get to our appointment on time.

Great location!

Hotel is in a great location. It’s nice and clean. Friendly staff. Easy check in. Nice views of the water. Rooms are a little tired, and need a little freshening up! Some of our guests got free parking, I did not. Parking lot spots were very small. But overall I think it was decent value.

Very Disappointed

My goal was tontry a new property from the ones we frequent as we planned to attend the Raptors. The bathroom was terribly dirty and a hoise keeper was asked to come and correct the issue and she declinded saying she was soon done and walked away. The front desk was asked twice and the first time afreed to tesolve the concerns and when that did t happen 9 hours later, we asked again and was told that all hoise keeping was now gone for the day and was offered 50% off one night. The room also smelled terrible of smoke and neither of us smoke, again an issue the front desk apologized for but did not correct. Moving rooms was not an option they were sold out. A very disappointing experience. Thank you to the feont desk that tried withon their limits and scope but still a very upsetting experience.
