DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Tallahassee

Visiting my college town for the weekend was never easier staying at the Doubletree. Aside from some lost amenities because of COVID-19 and an issue with my room keys, the experience was superb.

Check in staff were very nice. Location is great for downtown or to FSU. But the decor is awful. I have stayed here before years ago and would be considered a very nice property. But someone went to a flea market bazaar in Cairo and just threw it around. The colors are institutional grey with led lighting. Terrible look and feel. Did i mention the check in staff was very nice?

This hotel has a strong South Beach vibe, while very lovely and stylish it feels out of place in Tallahassee. Front desk staff and Valet were very courteous and efficient (with Covid that's all the interaction you get).

The roof top bar had an amazing view. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Will def be back!

Convenient location, walking distance everywhere we wanted to go (we like walking). Check-in was quick, check-out even quicker. The front desk staff very friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We loved the roof bar that offers the city view and unbelievable sunset view. Hotel is a little dated and could benifit from freshening up. Still, we loved everything and can reccommend this hotel.

We were a late arrival (around midnight) and they were banging on the door at straight up 12 noon (which is checkout time). We were just finishing packing up and was out shortly after, so that was completely unnecessary. They did not have any luggage carriers at that time so we had to lug all of our luggage out ourselves because we felt we couldn’t wait for one to be available since we were already being rushed.

Super helpful at the front desk. Even with the virus issues the hotel was nice. The only annoying thing was the pool was closed for a wedding both Saturday and Sunday.
