A bit too pricey

The hotel is beautiful & clean .. the rooms are nothing spectacular , but comfortable & the bathroom is pretty, but really small. the beach chair area was pretty crowded unless you rented the bed for the day which is 200$.. overall, we do love the hotel, but I think it’s a bit overpriced for just a room with no balcony even or view .

A must stay!

great stay. Love the Don C. Staff and service are very welcoming and pleasant. The hotel is iconic and beautifully maintained.

Don Cesar

The hotel itself is in need of some serious renovations you can tell this was once a beautiful resort but it has not been well maintained. Our sheets had blood on them not a lot but still was nasty. There were drunk adults arguing out in the hall ways and slamming doors til 3 am . Which we reported to the management only to be told someone would get back with us which never happened even after going down to the front desk . Also watch your bill for over charges

I have been coming to the Don for over 30 years and have always enjoyed my time at the property however this stay was very different .. the property was dirty and not being kept up.. we sat on the decking between the pool and the beach and all we could see in the sand were plastic cups and cigarette in the sand , there were dirty plates and towels left around the pool from the day prior, meanwhile there were 4 male employees sitting on the lounge rental counter joking and smoking pot rather than attending to guest while having dinner at Rue there was a complete lack of service and many light bulbs burnt out … could be my last trip there

The Good and Not So Good

Rooms were clean and comfortable. The beach and pools were spectacular. Beach/pool-side service was also excellent. Service around the rest of the hotel was not as great. Our room was only turned over once during our five night stay. The small fridge in our room wasn't working. Amenities were great but everything cost extra on top of the nightly rate.

The room was very comfortable . First day they never cleaned room or brought fresh linens in . Bathroom was so small. Fine dining wasn’t open when we were there and the other restaurant served same menu every day . Food was good but the same thing . Beautiful clean place . Very relaxing . Very kind staff. Very nice beautiful place . Those things mentioned just need to be fine tweaked .

Besides we weren’t able to check in until 730 pm for the room not being ready. Everything else through out our stay was magnificent.

Was absolutely beautiful inside and out. Very clean, they treated you like royalty. Loved the pool and having the beach right there too.

Very nice for families

This hotel is very nice but very large and crowded. It's great for families but not necessarily for couples.

Such a nice hotel. My kids had a great time! The spa was amazing and the staff was wonderful too. Our only complaint was the over priced food but that’s at every nice resort. We will definitely be back.
