Scottsdale Marriott Suites Old Town

The staff was friendly, but! I was told that I would get a phone call at 4 PM when my room was ready, I never got the call. In the morning as I was making coffee in room, I got a foul smell. I opened the cabinet below the coffee maker and found a bag with food and beer cans that I assume the previous guests had left. The area and location were perfect though. Walking distance to great bars and restaurants.

Although the hotel was not busy, they put us in the worst room in the hotel, 2nd floor with a view of the garbage cans and loading dock. Got an early morning wake up call from trucks backing up to the garbage cans.

Excellent hotel with large guest rooms and nice public spaces. The staff was fantastic with local recommendations. All their suggestions played out nicely. I’ll be back.

The restaurant and bar were actually busy. A first for most motels that we have stayed in. If you are looking for someplace reasonable in downtown Scottsdale, this is it.

Front desk staff very helpful. Room outdated only reason to stay is location. Close to Old Town, Art district, 5th Ave.
