Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Detroit Southfield

The hotel was pleasant & somewhat comfortable. Unfortunately the responses to several problems we had went unnoticed. Our internet was unreliable throughout. There was a cold breeze coming from the front door which never seemed to stop. Our bsthroom sink had a slow drain. & our phone never worked even though we expressed that to the front desk. Was a bit uneasy on our 1st night being stopped by security upon entering the complex & then witnessing them again each late night throughout our visit.

The Hotel didnt have any room for guest parking for the price wasnt worth the stay wont be back

Fireplace did not work had cobwebs on it

Is was disappointed there was no paid perview movies or premium channels... Also the speed bumps in the lot were damaging to my vehicle. Finally one oh the chairs has a very loose leg i almost felled out of it..

Managers and security were very rude you’re only allowed one car to park if you need 2 you’re paying $35 and they will make up anything to take your 250 deposit

There is a 35 dollar parking fee they dont tell you about until check in is complete the rooms dont look anything like the pics on the internet the lady that works night shift at the front desk is rude and unprofessional and the security guards take pride in randomly harassing the guests I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN it was just a ghetto situation and ruined my bday weekend

I did not like anything about this hotel. The room was disgusting. Makeup on the headboard, red carpet stains, dirty chairs, telephone dirty, remote didn't work, sheets and curtains dirty. This room was the pits, and the front desk informed me sometimes housekeeping doesn't clean too well. This is unacceptable during Covid.

The room was designed beautifully. My room was missing the smoke detector, it smelled like old stale cigarette smoke and the carpet was dirty and stained with red juice or wine. The bathroom was very nice and adequate amount of towels and I loved the kitchenette area as well as the fireplace. Location was excellent. I think it needs to have updated carpet. The staff was friendly.

It was ok, if you were expecting company, in order for them to visit, they had to purchase a 35.00 parking pass, or not permitted to park on hotel grounds. The place for being clean, 50%. Looked like the carpet wasnt swept and the trashcan still had trash in it.

Nice lil one day get away, looking to do it again soon.
