Hampton Inn Charleston-Downtown

Excellent

Hotel was very clean, roomed smelled sterilized when walking in the door. Some of the building and room finishes showed some use. Good place to stay if you're driving through on a longer trip. Would stay again if in town.

This hotel had it all figured out for Covid. They have excellent food in their breakfast buffet, hand sanitizer and wipes everywhere in the building. It even had the smell that it was clean. The room was reasonably well updated.

For our purposes it was great. Located right off the interstate, excellent covid precautions, plenty of luggage carts, friendly and helpful staff, very good take-away breakfast, comfortable room.

Exactly what we were looking for, a clean comfortable room in Downtown Charleston.

Good location. Parking was easy. We were placed in a 1st floor handicapped room. Queen instead of king. Three, too many shower heads. The smell of old smoke was the worst.

Our stay was great. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly, especially Brandon! Breakfast was very nice and they even offered a bag of snacks for the road. Our bed was extremely comfortable, as well!

Front desk attendants were not wearing masks during the busy morning checkout. While the room had apparently been cleaned based on the smell of disinfectant and the seal on the front door there was an empty beer bottle waiting for us on the floor inside. The sheets also were stained or had marker/ink put on them. Otherwise the room was in OK condition. No TV guide.

The stay was good, the staff was friendly and helpful
