Couples trip

My boyfriend and I stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. It was amazing, very clean and very friendly, helpful staff. A female receptionist gave us recommendations for dinners a few nights and they did not disappoint! The view of the cathedral is beautiful, there was a great buzz in the square and we had the doors open as music was playing all day. The only tiny downfall is that the room with the view of the cathedral cab be a little noisy at night with so much going on outside, however this is not a fault of the hotel just something to think about! If you do not get a room with a view, you will certainly get one at the rooftop bar.. Wow!

Only OK

We booked a "Design" room but it did not look like the picture on the web site. The view from the window was of the fire escape, the queen bed was two singles pushed together. The reception confirmed we were in a "Design" room so I guess there must be some artistic license being used on the web site.

Perfect location!

Perfect location located across from the Cathedral of Barcelona. Within walking distance to everything. Restaurants are plentiful and close. Had a terrace balcony that had the most amazing views of the city center. I do think providing 1 day water and coffee, then charging for next days is on the cheap side. Rooms are not inexpensive, surely if you provide a coffee maker you should provide the water and Nepresso as well. Bed was comfortable, but was squeeky. Service was great - front desk very very helpful. As expected, restaurant overpriced for food and drinks, but convienent. A lot of fuss over rooftop bar - would go for the view of you don't have a terrace room. Overall would recommend - just management needs to step it up.with some amenities.

Breakfast

Breakfast options were not acceptable. Had to choose either full breakfast buffet at $22 E or 1 item (small danish) and coffee at $9 E. In room coffee was not replaced daily.

A special stay.

Really lucked out with a family room, too location and lovely hotel made our stay in BCN really special. Great breakfast selection and all round superb service. Would highly recommend. The rooftop bar is a double bonus.

Hotel was beautiful, breakfast was great! The bathroom was renovated which was nice. The rooms need to be renovated. The beds were old and not very comfortable. The room had a slight old smell. The tv was very outdated. Friendly helpful staff. Convenient location. Overall would recommend.
