Great Western Hotel Aberdeen

On first arrival, we feared the worst. Seemed a bit chaotic. But we persevered, and it was worth it. The Hotel has been caught in the transition from Sports Bar with rooms, to a Boutique Hotel, (with skeleton staff) . Damned pandemic! The room we were in room 202 was splendid, and the continental breakfast delivered to the door was superb. We enjoyed it.

Room was adequate but pillows were not good at all. Bar area poor, online photos must be very outdated as not a true reflection. Food was adequate but overpriced. Breakfast offering poor. No one came when rang the bell to check out.

When booked told there was hot food available to arrive with no food available

Phenomenal service from Nikki I’ve got to say due to the covid 19 problem, was available 24/7, room was clean and had a great night sleep, would use again.

Good all round stay.

No heating on in room and no battery in tv remote ,only staying for one night so did not make a complaint

Place looks a little dated from the outside. There are two bars one at the back and one at the front, would suggest using front bar as the back one seems to be more for locals. Room was okay, breakfast standard but a little cold.

The staff. They were very helpful and accommodating. Even got us a late breakfast after we ran late

For four star hotel creaking flour boards lumpy bed room not cleaned toilet not cleaned no drinking water had to buy it from the bar £2 per small bottle

Comfortable accommodation. Friendly staff. Good dinning and food in the restaurant.
