Homewood Suites Kansas City/Overland Park

There was a leak from the room above me... the entire bathroom flooded. I called maintenance and it took them 45 minutes to come meanwhile my outfit of the day that was hanging in the bathroom was ruined. No apology no accomidation nothing...

I wouldn’t stay here again not can I recommend this place to anyone. We ended up cleaning the whole place ourselves. Bed sheets were dirty with food and hair in it. The walls are paper thin. You hear everything and we were up most of the night. The bathroom door won’t close. Place had sticky walls and handles in the room. Pretty gross. Also hot water in the shower? Yeah no... to get hot water you have to turn it down to nearly no water coming out so it will take you forever to rinse.

The kitchen was equipped with some dishes/cookware. The room was clean and spacious. Perfect for family travel!

Upon checking in was terrible...It was hot in the facility upon checking in. Everything seemed dirty when you walk in. Went to my room and the smell was disguting. Smelled like old and musty. Big pieces of paint chips everywhere. Some of the lights didn't work, didn't have a full roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. Just felt nasty and not clean...

Nothing on hotels.com stated the hot tub or pool being closed. Got there and found out it was. Breakfast was also greatly modified due to covid. We had very noisy people above us. Our thermostat was not operational so we couldn’t control the temp in our room. I called front desk and was not able to get anyone on more than one occasion. I have stayed there before and it was great. I spoke to the front desk person and I believe they are taking care of me and offering a complimentary night, but am unsure as of this moment.

Our room one light wasn’t working and there was outlet cover missing. It said we would have a hot breakfast buffet and there was no breakfast buffet of warm food. Which one of the reason we stay at this hotel when we travel. Super disappointed in the service no one around. Other location had come up with a great way to still provide the breakfast buffet. I paid to have a good breakfast no fruit and a muffin. Bad idea on this location part.

I usually love staying here when we come to Kansas City to visit, however this was the worst stay I’ve ever had at a hotel. I know some of it is related to the all the covid-19 restrictions, but unrelated to

Decent stay, pool closed, breakfast was below par. Hotel used Covid pandemic as an excuse to be lazy. Bathrooms could use a little more detail in cleaning shower walls and behind doors. They did not allow you to sit down for breakfast, had to take back to room. I've stayed at other hotels during covid and they at least let you sit down to eat and have pool open. I recommend staying next door next door at Laquinta over this hotel.

Was not advised the pool would be closed due to covid. All other pools are open. This was a poor customer experience

You could tell the front desk Lupe didnt want to be bothered at night. There was no greeting. No thank you. No do you have questions. All the person said was,"Whats the name? Heres your key and the elevator was over there."No your room is #___ ect. The breakfast was a bit lazy too. Milk yogurt cereal.
