Hotel MDR Marina del Rey - a DoubleTree by Hilton

Overall was a nice trip. The only thing the phone in the room didn’t work. The bathroom light burned out but they fix it right away. Everyone that worked there was very nice. Just wish they had a hot tube. The pool was a little to cold.

Multiple broken elevators. Finally one that worked but was dirty and DISGUSTING. The room was missing a sanitation sticker. When I called the front desk to ask if it had been properly cleaned the manager was extremely rude. Apparently it was my job to double check the cleanliness and inform them what they should do. So I got out my Clorox wipes and went to work as it was midnight and I was exhausted. Upon cleaning I found that the room was in horrible condition. Not only did many items need repair or need to be replaced, but it in fact was NOT CLEAN. Dirty toilet set! The alarm clock wasn’t even set to the right time. The employees/management need basic customer service training. I would NEVER stay at this property again. NEVER.

I dont think Parking should be $26 when it’s not even covered parking in our car got scratched

Stay was good but room was really dusty. Probably because no one has been checking in there due to COVID

the staff was very nice. the rooms had a few issues. the first item was there wasnt a welcome letter with instructions or hotel how to. the next problem was the ac wasnt easy to adjust. the clock was not working properly and the television was difficult.the room telephone was completely dead. the posijtive was clean and comfortable. the pool view was nice.

I love the bar made my drinks good. Very friendly nice and helpful.

The hotel room smelled like smoke and mildew. My TV remote didn’t work. When I called to ask to borrow a cell phone charger they said I could come down and buy one from the store. The cell phone charger is not a big deal, just would’ve been a nice service especially in light of the other inconveniences. I also got a handicap accessible bathroom which normally when you check in they ask and confirm if that’s ok. I was not asked so didn’t know until I got to the room.

Beautiful location. The stay could have been better. Was charged twice for the room. Was put in a room with no heat. Had someone fix the heat during covid instead of moving me to another room. First impressions are lasting. Would only stay here if the rooms are free.

Staff was very friendly! but overall the property is dated, rundown and needs deep cleaning - not as nice as pictures- Had a smell of cigarettes in hallways and in rooms. our room had no bathroom fan and had a strong smell of the dank mildewed shower curtain

It’s located close to the freeway and to restaurants.
