DoubleTree by Hilton Spokane City Center

Very frustrating. My reservation was not in the hotel’s system from Hotels.com. I called and spoke with agent, got disconnected twice, and she never called me back the second time. Called again, got someone else that was able to resolve my issue by speaking to the front desk. When I made the reservation, I used a reward and paid the balance by credit card. Because of the mixup, I also had to pay at the hotel. So now I don’t know if I paid full price at the hotel plus what I paid online, or just what I should have paid. I think they just did a new reservation! I’ll be calling you tonight to get it straightened out!!! UGH. Bad experience!!!

Beautiful hotel. Nice room with view. Bathroom was small for the size of the room but good shower and water pressure. It was clean and staff were nice. 1 star less because I had to pay nightly for parking. They built a hotel with no capacity for parking so contract with the parking garage next door (also must walk from the building next door).

Close to park and walking distance to restaurants and stores

Everything was really clean. I felt completely safe staying in the Double Tree, even during a pandemic going on.

Extended my stay in Spokane. Chose the Double Tree as an upgrade and it turned out to be a downgrade. Skateboards in the Parking garage that I was charged $50.00 to park in. Cooling didn't work well, Room unclean, had left-over guest items in the closet. Bathroom door was busted, Carpet ripped, water damage on the millwork and tiles missing chipped pieces. Towels weren't soft, worked great for removing the callous on foot. Not work the value. There are a lot more hotels in Spokane I'll try before I go back.

The room is old, not very clean. Problems with bath sink.

There were homeless drug addicts sitting right outside the doors that you enter from the parking garage. My daughters and I were not comfortable entering and exiting the building. They charge for early check in when the rooms are clearly available. I am a gold member who travels frequently this was the first time I have ever been asked to pay for early check in. It’s slightly ironic because they practically force you out the door on your last day. Housekeeping knocked several times trying to get in, at one point I didn’t answer right away and a man entered the room, what if we were changing? Last I checked - check out is at 11 AM what business do they have entering the room before that If I clearly hadn’t checked out. The rooms are out dated and there is about an inch of dust around the base boards. I expect more from a Hilton and I expect more when you are charging the same as the 4 Star hotels in the area.

I paid $45 extra for an upgrade on Expedia because the description was a larger room with a river view. When I checked in I was advised no river view and that’s Expedia’s fault, not theirs. She easily could have just given me a room across the hall. The hotel was very empty with COVID-19. Instead she offered me to pay to upgrade to a suite. This hotel is not up to Hilton standards. Pretty dated with popcorn ceilings in the hallways.
