Love this place!

We stayed here for 7 days and we were not disappointed at all. Clean room, great service, friendly staff, food was ok. Pool and beaches were amazing. The only thing was disappointing there was a lot of seaweed in the beach but I was told it was seasonal. Overall we had a great time!

Wonderful resort, room service needs improvement

Catalonia is a wonderful all inclusive resort. The site is beautiful and comfortable. The private beach is amazing. The restaurant choices are wonderful and the food is tasty and varied. The staff is very nice and willing to help. The only complaint we have is regarding room service. We checked in late and all restaurants on site were closed. We were extremely tired and hungry, but we had to wait for more than one hour to get our dinner after we ordered it. The dinner was mediocre compared to the restaurants on site. In another occasion, my husband walked all the way to the reception to request water bottles. The staff said they were going to be delivered in the room. About half a hour later, he called the reception and requested water bottles again. The water bottles were never delivered in our room. We had to go to sleep thirsty that night.

The activities people were excellent the bartenders weren’t that good seem like they only would help you if you had money in your hand. Could not get a dinner reservation for any of The restaurants except for one. The rooms were OK the floor had not been mopped clearly had food stains on it the refrigerator wasn’t replenished every day One of our bathroom sinks wouldn’t drain. This was my seventh trip to Cancun , my first with my entire family so I was Disappointed in the fact that we couldn’t get into the restaurants and the drinks were horrible. I guess for a budget friendly hotel it’s OK but I guess I expected more would not recommend to family and friends

The resort is modern, clean, and have plenty of activities. Restaurants and food selection was great but was a bit difficult to reserve a table for specialty dinning. The road to get to resort was horrible with bumps and pot holes, hopefully the city will improve this situation. Overall had amazing time with family.

Medicore,at best

The property is beautiful. Room configuration is great for multi-generational travel. The rooms were very clean, and the mini-bar was well stocked with soda & beer. There were 3 in our party. My mother, who is 80, and mobility challenged was with us. The distance to the room was too great for a walker, so we requested assistance to the room. A life guard brought a wheel chair to take her to our room. We were offered wheelchair rental at $30/day. We did rent a W/C because everything was too far for her to walk (with her walker) too. Reservations were required for dinner, but app did not work well. Also, there is a dress code, but as far as we could tell it was only for men and just to wear closed toe shoes to dinner. Food was ok, not great. We did not see any shows, if they occurred it was not well publicized. Last straw, at 0830, on our last day, housekeeping entered despite a "do not disturb", we were not awake, since check out was 1200, and we had a long day of travel ahead. I was NOT a happy camper! Overall, it was just ok, and there are absolutely better and less expensive options in Cancun & vicinity.

I did not like that the elevator were not working and it was very hard to get anything to eat between 10 AM and 12 PM

Great hotel front desk staff were good. However the bartender were no so friendly, attitudes were horrible. However highly recommended this resort 10/10 me and my family will be back.
