Good airport stopover with shuttle service

Easy, convenient pre-flight stopover providing efficient pick-up/ drop off airport shuttle service. Good menu choice for evening meal. Clean, comfortable room. Reasonably priced.

Disappointing stay!

Disappointing on arrival, The website states the bar is open till 12.00am on weekends and when we arrived the bar was closed @ 11.15pm. We then went to our room to fine the TV faulty and the noise from the adjacent room was loud which we reported to Reception.

My Most Recent Stay

Very comfortable bed. Suggest a box of tissues, bar of soap, room service menu, and Sky Sports on TV. Very timely alarm call at 7 am. Great shuttle service to the airport. Strange set up in the bar lounge area. Not able to order and pick up cocktail at the bar. This diluted some of the usual atmosphere.

Could be really good... but needs improvement

First of all the shuttle service feom the train station and then back to the airport is really good with friendly drivers both times. The receptionist wasn't very helpful with no information given and didnt even point me in the direction of the lifts, she just put the keycard down in front of me and then walked off, no enjoy your stay or thankyou just a lack of basic customer service. The food, drink and service were very good in the bar area i just had some nachos and onion rings and a couple of beers. The bedroom is fine and looks like the photos but the bathrooms leave alot to be desired there is a drain like smell all of the time and all of the edge of the bath needs resealing it is disgusting! The lever you pull to change the water from the bath to the shower was broken and kept going straight back to the bath position. This is my third stay here and i always seem to find the bathrooms are the major let down! They need refurbishment along with the corridors they remind me of a really cheap American motel.

Spot on

Lovely room as usual, a little dissapointed with the food but it was quite close to kitchen closing time.

Good start to your hol dont bother with restaurant

Great location. Friendly efficient check-in.. room was lovely and comfortable with everything you needed. My only criticism is the food isnt worth the price and the wine over inflated price

Expensive for what it is

The water is a joke. Doesnt get hot and pressure is extremely low, hard to take a shower. Rooms are starting to show their date now. Food is very standard but price is ridiculous. Drinks are expensive too. This is to be expected near a airport but when food quality is poor then you are just being ripped off.

Disappointing

I felt my room was a little tired and gloomy. Given the cost of the room, I would have expected to find complimentary bottles of water in there. Overall I thought it was overpriced for the accommodation provided.

Good all round service

Used Clayton a number of times and it always provides a good clean , friendly and safe envoirment , food is of good quality and the service received is good all round , our first choice when flying from Manchester
