Good Spot

I've been staying here for years and this has always been a good spot. People here have always been nice and attentive and it never gets too loud here. One thing I hope will improve is the fitness center. A lot of machines are feeling really dated now and the dumbbells and the benches are really starting to show their wear. Also, for some reason the cleaning wipes disappeared one of the days I was staying there. The bedroom carpet needs to be cleaned a little more often too.

Clean, but only ok

The hotel has mandatory paid parking ($22/night) which made the “deal” I got less of a deal. They only had decaf coffee in the room (four packs of decaf ??) The hallways smelled kind of smoky But the room and everything in the hotel was clean and smelled fine. They had a fitness center with decent equipment (but someone had spilled chips all over the floor that wasn’t cleaned up). Overall we would stay here again, just don’t expect anything truly amazing.

A little disappointed but satisfied.

The city had not signed off on the pool so it was not in use and we were hoping to swim since the rest of our day was canceled. Mold was on the patio.

Cleanliness & front desk service needs more work!

Bathroom floor/walls, toilet were all dirty and had not been wiped. There were stains on toilet seat. Some Towels has strands of hair and had not been washed well. Front desk attendant who was on duty on May 5, 2022, late evening was quite rude and unfriendly! Attendants like her have no business to be working at the front desk, if she’s reluctant to help guests with simple questions. She was eating at the desk was was very annoyed that she had to attend to a customer. Thankfully our stay was only a couple of nights. I must mention that the Lobby area/ outside area of hotel were pleasant. Beds were comfortable too.

Less is more

The place was not bad but older building and finishes. Stayed in a room that was too cluttered with furniture and fell as a result. No blood but a lot abrasion and bruising from metal on pull out sofa. I needed a little bit first aid but the staff reacted like a deer in headlights struggling to find a few items.

Safe place to stay

Overall good visit. Nothing amazing about the place. You have to pay for parking. Staff friendly.

I don’t like this hotel at all and when I book online it say breakfast free I surprise no breakfast at all and they say free parking this is not right you have to pay 22$ to park your car in the hotel parking lot

Two Days at Midtown Georgia Tech

Sonesta Select provided all the comforts one would expect of a 4-Star Hotel, from housekeeping service, upon request, to Fitness Center and swimming pool. The house did run out of laundry detergent, while I was there, but that was a minor inconvenience.
