Red Roof Inn Cincinnati East - Beechmont

Arrived. Had 4 rooms. one of the rooms the light fixture over the bed was hanging out of the wall. We were approached by transient couple staying there trying to sell drugs. We found a bedbug in o e of the rooms

over all it was a nice place for the price. Only complaint is we had a handcap room/shower water was everywhere from kids getting shower... only gave 2 towels and wash clothes for 4 people didnt want to give 2 more but finally did..

I've stayed here several times. This time it was 94 degrees and my a/c didn't work. The floor also had a cigarette on the floor and grass stuck on the wall along with something brown. The maintenance man was absolutely frightening. Took 2 calls to get him and he told me he was "passed out cold." While on the clock? I asked twice to be moved. They finally moved me to another room, where the bed had been laid and used soap and a dirty towel were by the sink. 3rd room was finally on, but it took 2 hours to get there. There were people who appeared homeless congregating in the parking lot and, when we walked to the nearby McDonald's, there was a girl passed out in the grass.

Even though it was a smoking room the extensive odors were disturbing. The attractive red wall in my room had a hole punched through it and the repair was not well done and easy to see as well as the white paint spot.

I've never taken the time to do this but my experience at the Cincinnati East/Beechmont Red Roof Inn last week compels this. This was by a very long margin the absolute worst Red Roof Inn I have ever stayed at. There was a plastic cover on the mattress base indicating a bedbug problem at some point, the linens had burn holes, all the bed linens, the electrical system couldn't handle using the microwave while the TV was on, the circuit breakers repeatedly tripped leaving us without electricity in the room. My request for a few extra services (extra towels, extra pillows) which have always been fulfilled quickly at any other Red Roof Inn I stayed at were just simply ignored. I should have known by the BBQ grill set up outside the room next door that this wasn't going to be the Red Roof Inn experience I'd had in the past. The party in the parking lot just outside our room later that night only confirmed that. Then there was the manager?, who put a hard stare on me from behind the front desk as a very courteous young lady checked me in. I'm a war veteran pretty much unconcerned about that sort of posing, but when my wife told me he had done the same to her, I thought seriously about confronting him and explaining that regardless of how things like that are done wherever he came from, here in the US that is extremely rude and provocative behavior. I ultimately chose to let it go, but I'd sleep in my car at an Interstate Highway rest area before I'd ever spend a dime there again.

Good stay! Nice people. Just needs some updates and fixes overall pretty good!

Cleanliness was as expected for property type and cost of room. It was apparent upon each entry of room that this non-smoking room had been smoked in previously. Cigarette butts were plentiful directly outside room next to sidewalk. Room key cards kept failing (3 times during 2 day stay). Cards were kept in my pocket by themselves.

Got the room in a timely manner. Front desk agent was nice. For a non smoking room, you could tell most guests dont follow the rule as there was burn holes in the sheets and blanket. The toilet wasnt properly installed and leaned depending on which way you move. There were poorly patched holes in the walls that hadnt been sanded or painted over. Paint peeling off the old light fixtures from 25 years ago. Overall, 2 of 10

Secluded and great location. The front desk service was very good and speedy. It was clean at the front by desk as well and the outside property.
