Aqua Palms Waikiki

Hotel is in a great location and we loved the balcony in the room. The hotel is retro in some ways, but comfortable and good value.

Last two nights living on Oahu

This is the second time I have stayed here. It is a good value for Waikiki, but beware of the additional fees. There is a daily Resort Fee and the Transient Tax, which added an additional $37 per night to the final bill. There is also a parking fee of $25 per day plus tax. I prefer the Diamond Head view rooms. They are larger and you can see Diamond Head along with a peek of the ocean through the other buildings. (At least on the 7th floor!) The room had a refrigerator and a coffee pot, but no microwave. The furniture needs to be updated, but we didn't mind. The room fit our needs while still in our budget.

Room had a number of issues with it, damaged walls, stained curtains from smoking (in a non smoking room), smoke alarm falling off the wall. The front desk said they were unaware and would get resolved and waived the resort fee.

The rooms are sorely in need of renovation, made worse by the torn and dirty carpet. The bathroom is so small that you have to squeeze to the side of the toilet to shut the door.. very poor value for the money considering condition, size, cleanliness and non central location. Buyer beware!
