Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam

Staff and service were amazing and cannot fault any of them. Would have been nice if they had another bar but overall would highly recommend this hotel.

Overall very high standard hotel and most of the staff very friendly and efficient. In a central location close to all the best sites. Great breakfast. Room was incredibly dark, very few lights for some unknown reason. Spa was disappointing, lack of seating and relaxation area, sauna was not hot and seemed to be faulty.

Heating doesn’t work with no significant help from staff. Tried to help but just words. Freezing in certain rooms.

Wonderful hotel - historic, colonial yet with modern amenities. Wonderful breakfast and relaxing swimming pool.

What an amazing hotel! From start to finish the Sofitel Grand did not disappoint. Absolutely beautiful from the outside with never ending Christmas lights & trees, the theme continuing impressively throughout the entire hotel. The staff were fantastic & the room was absolutely gorgeous, set out over 2 floors & the comfiest bed. Breakfast was simply wonderful & we always took the opportunity to take our time and enjoy the opportunity to relax & discuss plans over breakfast.

Top class hotel in a very good area the staff always very nice and helpful. Being a regular visitor i can say the rooms are all very welcoming and and in good condition.

Beautiful historic hotel - fantastic location - beautiful bedding

Nobody would like to help you to decide the problem! The hotel ordered the taxi, but when the taxi wasn’t on time, the staff only told me that they could check the taxi had been ordered or not but they couldn’t call them or understand where was the taxi!the concierge was staying and didn’t do anything ...I should go to take my friends and go to the airport!

A great hotel to stay art but hard to return to by cab late in the evening after supper as cab driver had to final call the hotel for street access. Location is a bit to close to a noisy area at the front of the hotel. It is better to face the courtyard or the rear canal. Access is also better by foot to turn left and take the footbridge to the right through the alley and turn right on a much quieter and nice route to the Dam Square area. Excellent breakfast but surprised the Orial menu was so small in choice especially since we were at the hotel for 9 days in total.

Location was really good and the room was really nice
