The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel

The Carlyle has exceptional staff that are friendly and always willing to help. Our room was recently renovated so it’s absolutely beautiful. It is the most comfortable stay we’ve ever had in New York! We loved The Carlyle!

I was slightly hesitant to book this hotel based on mixed reviews but am thrilled that I did. My daughter and I had the best stay at the Carlyle. The remodeled rooms are so elegant and every staff member is so completely kind you feel like you are staying at a relatives home. We had tea in The Gallery which was so pleasant , and also loved beginning some evenings and ending others enjoying live jazz at Bemelmans Bar. New York is a hectic place so after riding in cabs and ubers and doing a lot of walking it is so calming to come back to the Carlyle and relax it the comfort and quiet . The rooms are perfectly climate controlled and you never hear the air clicking on and off ( a big pet peeve of mine at a lot of hotels) We will definitely stay here again soon and really look forward to it!

Absolutely perfect and MAGICAL!!

The Carlyle reeks of charm and history in a terrific part of the city. We were upgraded to a spacious renovated suite, which was lovely. The Cafe Carlyle music was great. The food served throughout the hotel was very good, though the service sluggish and off - not befitting such an enjoyable place. The front desk and elevator operators were wonderful, maid service inconsistent in provisions and cleanliness.. This older hotel has a few maintenance issues it could better keep up with. All in all, I’d look forward to future stays in my favorite US city.
