Union Square Plaza Hotel

This hotel was perfect for my needs. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and I felt very safe walking around in the area. There are no refrigerators or coffee in the rooms, but there is a cold water dispenser and coffee available in the lobby. Just on this block alone, there is a fantastic ramen bar, a great 24-hour diner, and a Starbucks. This hotel has everything you need if you’re looking for an affordable, convenient spot close to everything.

For our stay, the hotel was a way station between 2 medical procedures. The room was very small, which was problematic while using the desk and chair. I think it might work better with the desk rotated 90 degrees against the adjacent wall, but I don't know if there is enough clearance without moving the bed. It would be nice to have access to any part of the room to any part of the room while someone was using the desk and chair while on the internet. The shower was terrific, but it was difficult to fumble around and understand the controls for the temperature vs. the pressure. Once understood, it worked like a first class shower. I had an early morning appointment and I wanted to be fairly bacteria free. There are so many fine eateries close by, that if you just need to eat and recycle your energy, this is a fine hotel

The staffs are very accommodating and always ready to help.

Nice location and friendly staff but the noise at night time was too much and made it hard to sleep.. I know that’s out of the hotels control but other than that had a nice stay

Excellent location. Hotel clean and comfortable. Decor a little old fashioned but homely. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Room was located at rear of hotel. Somewhat noisy with bins located in alleyway at back of hotel. The positives outweigh the negatives and would stay here again.

It is centrally located in SF and good walking distance to almost everything.

It was okay for the price. Good location with lots of attractions nearby. Older rooms with dated decor, but it was clean and everything mostly worked.
