Fairmont Barcelona Rey Juan Carlos I

The room is very very very small and different from the picture on Expedia site and some of the room amenities mentioned on Expedia where not available in the room and when we discussed that with the Hotel management they clam that Expedia put that criteria on their website without confirming with the Hotel!!!which sounded weird!! The hotel really need a good maintenance, every time you use the bathroom the water comes form every where because every thing was leaking!! The location is bad very far from every thing.. the fancy pictures of the swimming pool is not real too because we didn’t see that in reality. The staff not friendly and their room service is very bad too we ordered coffee it came back after 2 hrs and cold. When we discussed with them the benefit of Expedia Gold member they said they never heard about such a thing and this is just on Expedia website but Hotel have no idea about that deal!!! And advised us not to book through Expedia in future and book through the Hotel website to have the real offer!!!very weird. Not happy at all with the experience and don’t advise for this hotel.

Staff at the lobby bar were inattentive. Cleaning staff were wonderful.

Great service throughout, location close to Camp Nou, love the fitness center.

You basically can’t fault this hotel for amenities or service - it’s a stunning facility. It’s also very close to the Nou Camo stadium if you’re in town for that - you can walk it in 20mins. I got a very good rate - they seem to do cheaper one night deals when the football is on - but be warned, read the small print because I found that my deal didn’t allow me to check in until 8pm. Staff weren’t prepared to flex this at all, which is why I’ve downrated it for service, but I’d have to say they were very polite and professional. Lobby area bar is lovely; pool looked excellent though I didn’t use it; room was clean and well equipped, though not exceptional for the grade; breakfast buffet serviceable but slightly disappointing. You’re most likely to stay here if you’re in town for the football and have a reasonable budget - and on that basis it’s difficult to beat... just read the fine print.

Superb hotel attentive staff but limited dining options and very expensive, non top of the range drinks.

Oasis after the hustle and bustle of city. Fantastic meal at The Terrace with excellent service. A lovely short stay.

Customer service and amenities are wonderful! Pools, spas and restaurants are top notch!
