Americas Best Value Inn Smithtown Long Island

We stayed here due to an extended power outage during the summer. We were desperately in need of a cool space to sleep and warm shower. Served the basic purpose and clean enough for our needs. Check in/out was easy and owners seemed nice. A/C worked well, great water pressure, and good TV. Due to the outage, their WiFi was down so I can’t attest to that piece. Unfortunately, and I’m sure this is because it’s next to impossible to get smoke out, our “non-smoking” room smelled of lingering cigarette smoke. It was strong enough to follow us home in the clothes we had packed. Off a major road but up on a hill and didn’t notice any road sounds except for the occasional super loud motorcycle. Overall, if we need to stay somewhere in a pinch and the standard hotels aren’t available, we’d stay again.

For a single denial I would not recommend this hotel. It is very creepy and unclean. I felt very unsafe being there. I actually left and went to another hotel because I felt that unsafe and wouldn’t sleep there.

Good and quiet

Mattresses were too short, my feet hung over the end. And the blankets were very thin could not sleep

It was clean . If you’re looking for a more up to date room you will be disappointed. It’s old and I’m need of a little sprucing up. The bed was not the most comfortable and the towels were a bit rough. For one night it was ok, having said that, another $30 would have been worth spending on a different hotel.

An average roadside motel. An economical stay in an otherwise high priced area. No issues and it was quiet. I would stay there again/

Everything was good I would definitely be charging the quality of the towels. I honestly think they felt like I was using a brillo. That's all.

It was horrible bed was hard as a rock pillows were horrible blinds held back with bungee cords bathroom door had to be lifted to close
