- What we liked: The staff are polite and receptive. The place is clean and well maintained. Breakfast is good and sufficient. - What we did not like: The floors and walls are not sound proof. The movements of people above you and people walking in the corridors (especially those wearing high heals) is very loud at all times of the day. If you expect to have coffee or tea facilities in your room (as you would in any 4-star hotel), forget it; there aren't any unless you are in executive rooms. When lying out on the beach, there is nobody to serve you or take your requests. You have to to walk 50 meters to fetch your own drink from the nearest bar. Management is more concerned with how much they can get from the customers than in customer satisfaction (ordering a taxi through reception is more expensive than calling the taxi service yourself).

Only redeeming quality about this property was the location and it being right on the beach. The entire staff were rude and racist. The cleaning ladies didn't even want to clean my room. Never staying here again.

Excellent property. Could do with more activities in and around the pool. Good family setup. Did not like the restrictions for all-inclusive deal ie drinks at bar. Food was very good, but limited for vegetarian and very limited for gluten free. Overall enjoyed the stay.

Nice easy atmosphere although doors were often noisy at night, but that has to be expected. Entertainment rather slow to start in the evening, otherwise I feel satisfied with my choice of a holiday.

Upon arrival at Sentido Sandy Beach, we were advised the hotel had closed that day for the shoulder season, and that we had been re-booked at the sister Golden Bay Hotel next door (a 5 star property). Other than the initial surprise of finding our booked hotel to be closed, the substitute hotel was very good in all respects -- nice ocean-view room, clean, helpful staff, excellent buffet breakfast, and beautiful hotel amenities. Both properties are about 7 km outside of old town, central Larnaca, so either public transit or better yet a rental car are needed to explore the area and further afield. Driving in Cyprus is quite easy, with very little traffic outside of major urban areas, even in the Northern Turkish areas. Special car insurance to travel in the North with a rental car from the South is easily obtained at border crossings (€20 for 3 days coverage), and is well worth the effort. There are great sights to see in the North -- Nicosia (north), St. HILARION Castle, Kyrenia, Bellapais Monastery, Famagusta, Salamis, Karpas Peninsula, etc.

Bit of a mixup in check in, they had upgraded which was great but to a double rather than a twin! Sorted it after 24hrs.
