La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Sarasota Downtown

My room and the hotel were both very dirty. Especially the elevator and common areas. The bed was broken (falling off the pedestal). They said they would fix it, but they did not. No waste basket in the room. Door hardware was not functioning properly. Lots of people hanging out in the parking lot drinking. Loud music on weekend night. I would not stay here again.

The best thing about this hotel is that pets stay free. I would like to say the price was good, but if you risk your health staying there, the price is irrelevant. In total for two rooms spending $1,000 for 5 days, you expect better than we got. We heard some alarming things about cleanliness and asked the front desk if the rooms were Covid clean. She said she didn’t know. Of course, this particular desk clerk didn’t care enough to answer the phone and let it ring and ring. The desk clerk later in the week was better. There were bugs in my room, lots of them. In my sisters room, the smoke alarm was disabled...she told the desk clerk several times. The floors are dirty, and so was the tub. Capping our stay was the man who tried to break into my room the last night before we left. The walls are thin, and the neighbors were noisy. The only good thing to say is the location was great.

Very Disappointing! Smelled like cigarettes everywhere! Lobby, hallway, outside! Not a good experience will never stay again at this location.

The area isn't the greatest. Lots of strange people hanging out. We had roaches in our room. Overall Terrible experience. We will NEVER stay at this location again!!!

I liked the staff, they were very friendly. I disliked the cleanliness. I actually had been moved to a different room because the first room was not cleaned well, there was pet hair on the sofa, crumbs on the bed and other items not cleaned. The next room was better as it didn't have pet hairs but the wood floor was sticky. I found a screw on the carpet, I almost stepped on. The elevator was filthy as were the stairwells. The breakfast consisted of coffee and sometimes a packet of oatmel.

Clean and affordable place to stay for working in the area.

The overall stay was ok but disappointing comparing others stays in La Quinta properties. The room was noisy and even though I requested to be away from pets do to allergies, I was placed in a room next to person with pets who barked anytime someone pass by the door. The cleanness of the room was also disappointing because when i moved the mattress to reach the power outlet all the floor was dusty to the extreme that looks like was not cleaned in months.

Check in was fast. Room was nice. Sheets were dirty. Great customer service on getting new sheets or switching rooms. Also got extra pillows.

The floors/carpet were dirty, the tub was dirty. The bed sheets looked dirty. I felt like i was going to get a disease or something as such! There was not a extra roll of toilet paper! I have stayed a la Quinta before and never had felt like this.

The rooms had a strong smoke/musty odor. Appeared to have homeless people living in the hotel. Grounds needed attention....cigarette butts everywhere. Pool was nice.
