AC Hotels by Marriott Kansas City Westport

We have stayed here before and loved it. That was not the case this time. Noisy teens playing football in the hall. When that was done came a series of door slamming, yelling, pounding on walls. We called the front desk once. It never stopped and we did not want to be “Karens”.

Great place to stay. Within walking distance of all different types of things. Groceries, food and beverage, etc.

Great location. Fantastic service.

Have stayed here before and it was great. This time it was a bit off, probably due to Covid restrictions. Restaurant and bar was closed, fortunately picked up dinner to go. Very empty so felt a bit creepy but security on duty in lobby.

Stay was very great. Our shower was slow draining and would back up with water even if in the shower for a couple minutes. Thankfully front desk moved us to another room because of the issue. Very pleased and will book again every time I’m in town

We were disappointed with our stay overall. The room was freezing when we arrived. It had been set to 62 prior to our arrival. There was only one towel for the two of us. There was a coffee maker in the room, but no cups or coffee. Floors were dirty. The thermostat in the gym didn't work, maybe because there were no batteries in it. We've travelled during covid and have always seen staff cleaning common areas throughout our stay. We did not see this at this hotel.

I’ve stayed at AC Hotels before and was impressed every time. NOT this time. It felt more like a cheap motel- especially because apparently they don’t care about people throwing loud hotel parties that last until 7am in a pandemic. My room was dirty with makeup still in the sink and hair in the shower. They don’t provide coffee or water bottles in the rooms due to Covid? Just seems cheap, water bottles aren’t going to give anyone Covid. Very disappointed.

So, if you are looking for a place to shower while you are partying in Westport, then this place is for you. If not, look for a different hotel. The room and the hotel were not the cleanest of places I have stayed at. The decor is cheap modern leaving my husband and I feeling like we stayed a deserted IKEA. Thank God the a/c stayed on most of the night to drown out the street noise-the food trucks park right outside of the hotel. The shower was decent, but that's about it. Great if you don't want to sleep or stay in the room for over 5 minutes.

We had reserved a king room and when we got there they said that they had no more king rooms left, even though I had paid for the room in advance. We ended up getting a room with two twin sized beds. There was a coffee machine with no coffee and overall the place was underwhelming
