Edinburgh Marriott Hotel

Very expensive for an incredibly basic and poorly maintained hotel. Staff were brilliant bery helpful.

Over priced especially as we were not able to use facilities!!

Absolutely fantastic stay, myself and my partner stayed for two nights whilst site seeing around Edinburgh on our way to the air museum. The hotel room and en suite was immaculate and so much bigger than we expected. The reception team were lovely and extremely helpful in everything from providing more toiletries as soon as we asked for them to sanitising everything they came into contact with including my card, the card machine and the pen I was given to sign in. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Not a good experience too stay shower is broken

This Hotel is not worth the money. It is a bit shabby and showers do not have much pressure. Staff are very helpful and courteous. The car park is very in dirty with bins over flowing. I stayed here because they allow dogs which is a bonus but we pay for this. I also stayed here to charge my electrical car. None of the electrical ports worked! The staff just say it’s not our port. However the port had red lights on and not green. Therefore this should have been reported. Thus basically ruined my plans as we wasted about 2.5 hours finding an alternative charging point locally where we could eat at the same time. If I knew these pints in advance I would have not bothered to stay at this hotel!

Marriot needs upgrading Each time we’d flush the toilet it would make a rumbling sound from the pipes I’ve stayed in enough hotels and it was unusual why we were not allowed to eat outside food in the patio

It's a good, safe place to stay and quiet.

From the moment we arrived we knew this was a clean, freindly and most importantly during these times a clean environment. Whilst fear or anxiety is natural when staying in a hotel post-lockdown, you can be sure that this hotel have taken all precautions in ensuring your aafety. Wonderful hotel, with amazing staff.

Section of the hotel was been renovated because a malfunctioning sprinkler flooder said section of the hotel. The issue is that windows had been left open and the family and I had to move wearing jackets. My two kids actually got a cold. In addition, there is not central heating in the rooms, just an electric radiator which is cumbersome to use as it can get too hot and then switch off and then switch back on - vicious cycle. Lastly, there are no hand sanitisers anywhere. No need to panic due to Covid-19 but basic precautions would help.

It's a good hotel, comfortable, efficient, characterless. Room had everything required, comfy bed. Staff were Spanish, Dutch and Scandinavian - would not have known I was back in Scotland which maybe is good: we're all grumpy sods. Bar could do with a beer makeover. Horrible chemical beers with dreadful ice-cold Guinness - might be one way to make the place have some affinity with Edinburgh.
