Hampton Inn Sherwood, OR

The stay was nice, they even had a toy basket where my 2 1/2 year old could pick out his own toy. It is a new property that is clean and has efficient staff. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and would recommended it to anyone. They just need to add a few toasters to use for the box breakfast.

The hotel is conveniently located for visiting anyone in the Sherwood, Oregon area or neighboring communities it’s. It is a new hotel, that was completed during Covid. So while it’s pleasant enough to look at, functionally there were some issues. One example is that in order to pull the lever to send flow from bath to shower I actually had to hold the shower faucet down as it was not connected to anything securely and would ride up as I pulled. Also, for some mysterious reason, when neighboring units turnex on their faucets/showers, it can makes a loud squeak/squeal, that sounds like an alarm going off. In addition, the first night the heater came on automatically, it smelled like burnt rubber / electric so much that that I was concerned about my safety, though the smell dissipated by the time I had dressed to alert them. and I had to dress and make sure that I was safe. Perhaps the hotel was not constructed wel, or perhaps they just need to attend to these repairs. lf they do that, it’s a nice location quiet location (except for morning traffic outside around 7:00 am, and free parking is a plus. I can’t comment on the amenities as they were closed due to Covid. Service was inconsistent with some staff really going the extra mile and others proverbially “phoning it in.”
