Grand Hotel Melbourne

Friendly manager / still awaiting a new lift / the pool area was very nice / the room was a bit creaky but the bed was very comfy and clean :) ... Bit disappointed had to walk some distance for the Hotel brekky at an outside restaurant / cafe. All up, a nice, slightly dated but very comfy hotel with a very good location.

The staff were very friendly. Hotel manager was extremely welcoming.

Excellent service, location and cleanliness. Just at present does not have an operational restaurant for breakfast. Lots of character. Would stay again😀

The location is absolutely great, in the free tram zone, close to 2 tram stations and Skybus/train station. The staff are super helpful and friendly. We even are allowed to get the room early and late check-out. The hotel is a bit old because it is historical. The room is big, having a living room and kitchen. I regard that the room is a little bit dusty but overall it is nice.

I loved the old world charm and the huge hallways. Though for some reason it nearly felt somewhat isolating in such a large building with no one to be seen. It made me conscious to look out for emergency escape points. Not a bad thing I suppose. We were given an upgrade as well, many thanks

Hotel was in a great position. We were booked to go to a show & didn't realise Grand Prix was the same week end so most of our normal hotels were minimum 3 night stay. The Grand wasn’t & walking distance to Crown. Many people on edge around Melbourne due to Corona Virus & thought maybe the hotel could have had taken a few steps such as hand sanitisers in & around reception & dining room. Overall a beautiful old Melbourne bullying which looks as tho it’s moving into a completely different culture,

Our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The hotel sits right next to the train station, which we didn't see noted in the hotel description. Our room was rundown and in extreme need of repairs. The shower head and other fixtures were literally coming off the walls and there was a board only partially covering a huge hole in the wall of the bathroom. The room was also extremely outdated. It was clean and at least the air-conditioning worked. For the price we paid, it was not worth the money, by a long shot.
