Grand Hôtel du Havre

traveled from NYC & booked this hotel the day i flew in. front desk was amazing & it was a pleasure to meet them. they made my stay convenient, easy, and affordable. great place to stay if you’re looking for something just for rest!

Not very welcoming staff, A/C only for superior rooms in this heat. No proper ventilation. Only fans were given to compensate the heat which was not enough. Had to leave those paid rooms and booked at another hotel.

Great Location, just close to Saint Lazare train and metro station and shopping district

No shower curtain, you have to be careful to not get the whole bathroom wet when showering. Otherwise it was awesome.

Very noisy, no cold water, no aircondition, no ventilator, poor breakfast, poor bed and whoredrobe, for this to expensive

super convenient, just cross the road to major gare Saint Lazare great restaurant around big, new, well equipped room great facility lift accessible to all floor

Still no shower although there is a shower head in the bath. Bedding a little tatty. Adequate for someone who is only sleeping here

My room was disgustingly stinking cigarettes (in obviously non-smoking room) and mold. I complained and ask them to move me to another room, but as they didn’t have spare ones and were not willing to reimburse me, so I can leave, I stayed and barely could sleep. I left the window open, so I get at least a bit of fresh air, but as it was still quite cold, I caught a cold and got sick. The ‘hotel’ did nothing to address this situation. The place to avoid.

Location was excellent. Able to get to tourist spots easily via metro, bus, etc. and not too long travel times. Not a fancy hotel (good on budget) but friendly and helpful staff. Clean enough but dated and basic which was fine as we were out all day.

The bathroom needs a shower instead of a bath and a shower head.
