La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Tampa Near Busch Gardens

Quick stay

The king size bed was good, clean, and comfortable. The room is not well insulated from outside noise. I could here the elevator across from my room. I was in bed trying to sleep but I could here the people talking as they walked past my door. The room was aged a bit but very clean. I would stay there again as it was close to the hospital and that was my reason for the trip.

Very clean room

Although hotel needs updating, the room was very clean. Breakfast was excellent. We were able to checkin early ( additional fee) but happy to get in at 10:AM on Saturday. I would stay again.

Okay place

Ok hotel. Breakfast is acceptable. Didn't care for people being outside smoking. This shouldn't be the hotels problem but we can't handle cigarette smoke. It is directly across the street from Busch Gardens. The neighborhood is quite sketchy. Definitely doesn't feel safe to walk around at night.

I was filthy also it was a cockroach hair from somebody else on the bathtub They have to change the bedroom because the toilet didn’t work, they gave me a bedroom it was somebody else when we open the door we find out. Is so bad a good location, they need to clean the walking sidewalk

Unclean Smelly

Smells terrible of mustiness,meldew in lobby, hallways. Paint very strong smell through out. Stairs, elevators had not been swept for months.

Very disappointed

I spent 2 night with my family. As we first arrived in the room we spotted a large roach. On the first night someone was bang on the door and window at 2:30 am and try to push the door open. It scared the hell out of my seven year old. We played it all off the best we could. However after checking out and returning home I received a $250 additional charge on my card. When I called they stated The room was trashed and we were smoking I explained we are not smokers and we had left the room in very good condition. After numerous phone calls and failed attempts to get a hold of the general manager. I reported it to my credit card company.

So so

Staff was friendly upon check in for one overnight. Room was not worth the money paid. Old and could tell the walls had Benn painted with an accent wall which the paint went over into the non accent wall. Counter at sink had chunks out of it and the bath tub on the place yiu stepped in where the bath mat was hung had some sort of scumming that would come off if it was scrubbed with a coarse sponge or Brillo pad. Furniture was dusty. Bed was very comfortable. This hotel needs a complete makeover and the outside does as well.

This LaQuinta was a little run-down, but so was the entire area. The room was okay for what it was. I've been to worse, but definitely been to better.

Family Vacation.

It was ok. Quiet area and convenient for getting to Busch Gardens. However the bathtub was not so clean. We requested a wake up call and never got one. Also we requested for housekeeping service and the front desk attendant at the time told us that they would send someone to make the beds, only to find out that no such services were available.

The hotel was filthy. Poor customer service. Locked out of our rooms as keys would continually not work. Parking lot full of people smoking pot. Website pictures looked nothing like the hotel.
