Baymont by Wyndham Flint

Great service. They let us check in early as we had an event at 3 pm. It was clean and comfortable. Some new renovations and the breakfast is a take and go which means a little sack of cereals, milk, breakfast bars and a muffin.

Pros: The staff members were friendly. It's directly next to the expressway. It was reasonably priced. Cons: We were not aware until checking in that the pool was closed for renovations, a bummer for the kids. There being a pool was the entire reason we chose this motel. Also during check-in, the front desk worker told us there would be a continental breakfast. In the morning there wasn't any breakfast. We understand that buffets cannot be offered under current Covid restrictions but we don't understand why he made it a point to tell us there was going to be one when there wasn't. My in-laws also stayed in the hotel. My father-in-law has terminal cancer and has great difficulty walking, especially up stairs. The desk clerk roomed them on the second floor. This would normally be fine if the elevators were working, which they weren't. The desk clerk offered no alternative room, no alternate route upstairs, and no help in getting him up a floor.

The hotel is run down, but the staff still acts as if the hotel is 4 star.

The rooms are very clean very comfortable. The elevator is a little sketchy and some of the other maintenance definitely needs to be performed but I’m sure this is mostly due to COVID-19. This is my second stay there and I’ll go back

I didn't stay because the room I was not ready, so I stayed at the Hyatt Place Grand Blanc

The hotel was old and had cosmetic issues. The elevator was nothing sort of scary and the floor was all ripped up. I did feel safe but the building and upkeep are very poor.

Seemed a little shady, but got the job done. 👍

The sheets had blood on them and they didn’t want to give a refund!

The lobby and hallways need updating and smell like smoke. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room. The bed was very comfortable.

NEVER and I mean NEVER stay here! The guy on 3rd shift is a COMPLETE DICK! He's very RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL- he told me he can talk to me however he wants and lied and said I couldn't use my debit card for incidentals. I found out from the morning staff that not only was he supposed to use my card but it would have only been $50 deposit with my card but I had to leave and find an ATM at 1am in the morning with my 3 children because their ATM was out of order along with the elevators. I traveled 12hrs from SC to visit family and just needed somewhere to crash for the night and IT WAS A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE! The staff knew EXACTLY whom I was referring to when I told them about my encounter upon check in. They said that he's known for being rude- one even said they feared someone is going to seriously hurt him- I was born and raised in Flint and I'm surprised something hasn't already happened to HIM- but I was informed BY STAFF that someone had already broken the entrance windows due to an altercation with him- the place is ran down and smells of must- so my advice would be to drive straight past this location.
