Kimpton George Hotel, an IHG Hotel

Went for my 30th birthday. Benjamin was amazing!! Our room was dusty but a lovely stay. Pet friendly is a plus!!

This hotel is the best! Small and quaint and so pretty. It’s close to everything and the staff is amazing. Especially Benjamin! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else on my next trip to DC and I will stay in their other properties because of how great my stay at this hotel was.

Nice location close to the capital

Kimpton George is a nice property in a not so nice area. It sits in perhaps the only four blocks in NW Washington DC that have not undergone renovation and the restaurant was closed during my visit, which was disappointing, given that it was a main reason for my visit. It was COVID clean and had excellent friendly staff, so it probably will be a good place to stay when COVID passes. Also, the "resort" fee is exorbitant for what you get (basically free wifi and printing). I switched to a different hotel that served my needs better.

Overall the hotel was fine, especially considering the covid situation. No daily room cleaning and still had to pay the guest amenity fee despite the lack of amenities.

The location was fantastic as super close to Union Station. The staff, especially, Hunter, Trevor and Benjamin, were outstanding. All very friendly and helped in so many ways, plus just overall nice and caring people. I used the fitness center which as great.
