Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Wilson - Hayes Place, an IHG Hotel

When we walked into the room there were cockroaches everywhere and hotels.com has not been helpful with a refund

Booked room, drove to hotel, was told hotel was sold out completely. And this was at 10:40pm at night when temperature was 35 degrees. Hotel took no responsibility for the situation and pretty much told me to deal with it with Hotels.com.

Very clean nice service

Not a bad holiday inn. Holiday inn express is kind of hit or miss, you can usually tell by the outside of the property what it’s going to be like. This one isn’t a bad one. It was clean and quiet. Don’t expect to be amazed by anything. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, bed was alright, water pressure was ok. The tv in my room looked fairly new and was pretty nice. But I don’t think they replace all of them at one time, I may have just gotten lucky and got a room with a newer tv. I’d stay there again if I needed to but if I were on vacation I might would try and find something a little nicer if it were in my budget. It depends really because if I were to get a good deal on this holiday inn I might would even stay here even if I could afford a nicer hotel. It’s not bad by any means just not anything special.

The hotel still felt and looked very old even though they had renovated. The ceilings, walls, furniture, and counter tops were dusty/dirty. The bed and bathroom seemed freshly cleaned and prepared. Everything else probably hadn’t been cleaned in years. Additionally the a/c and heating unit did not work properly. No matter what temperature you put it on, it functioned at extremes. No matter the temperature you selected, the room would become extremely hot or extremely cold. The walls were also very thin. I could easily hear people in the hall way and in the rooms beside me. The rooms were also very small. I did like that the tv was big and up to date.

Close to Interstate, well maintained, friendly staff served a hot breakfast.

The room was very clean,loved that the hotel was right off I-95 plus there were several places to eat at.

It was okay for one night.

Not sure if Expidia was aware, but this property is under construction. Im not sure if they had a flood but it smelled like mold. And very noisy. So disappointed. Luckly it was only a one night stay. But your company should be aware before accepting future bookings. Thank you,
