Holiday Inn Express Marietta - Atlanta Northwest

The check in process went smoothly. When I got up to my room though there was a very loud beeping sound. I finally realized that it was the smoke detector which obviously needed the battery. I went downstairs to tell the clerk. He said that there was no maintenance there and that he could take out the battery to which I said no. I was given another room but the sink in the Bathroom was going down very slow and also when the toilet flushed the following morning it was backing up. I again went down to the front desk, again there was no maintenance but was told I could take a plunger and I said again no. Again we are switched to another room.The front desk staff was very polite and try to accommodate. It is an older building and does need to be refurbished.

It was a pleasant time. Staff was nice. Beds were comfortable.

I was fooled by the reviews. This place was not as clean as I expected from Holiday Inn Express standards. A little dingy with an odor. The people were pleasant. Location was pretty good.
