Hyatt Place Secaucus/Meadowlands

1st of all I would start by saying the STAFF is amazing kind and friendly and super caring… 5 mins after check in we were taking the elevator to our floor and got stuck in it for about a hour 6 people in a elevator that this hotel new did not work right also the other elevator was broken as well fire dept cam out right away this elevator was supposed to take us to the 5th floor we ended up between the 8th and 9th

My stay was excellent, only problem I faced there was an elevator. The elevator was not working properly during my stay otherwise everything was so good.

Checkin was quick but reception agent was busy on the line and his cellphone shows he was playing lol nonetheless, it was ok. Not holding it against him. Checkout was not manned. There is someone sitting/sleeping on the area but the station is unmanned. I looked all over and hollered in the kitchen as i was hoping there will be someone doing the bfast. Still no one. Had to make a call to say that i have checked out and left the jey on the desk.

Our week long stay would've been fine were it not for the elevators one was broken and out of service and the other worked but kept breaking down on a daily basis forcing us to take the stairs to the 8th floor. Not good if you are semi-disabled. The manager didn't seem to care as all she said was that they were aware of it and its being worked on. However during the entire week we were there we did not see any repair persons.

One night stay

Generally ok. Pull out sofa linen looked torn and repaired. Tub had marks of repair. Breakfast had a lot of items but somehow not that tasty. Coffee was excellent. Room was very big. Good checkout time.

Not the room I reserved...

I have loved this hotel and, when you get the room you reserve, it is terrific. However, I never seem to get what I reserve and I have no idea why that is. For this visit, I was assigned a room that CLEARLY was host to a smoker and smelled HORRIBLE. It was also missing furniture (I stay here frequently and have come to expect certain furniture/layout). The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and reassigned me, but I could no longer have a room with a bath tub. Ugh, second time in a row.

This is my second stay outside of Manhatten. Once again my stay was excellent. The morning female check-in person was fabulous. I cannot say anything bad about my stay. I will be returning. Excellent Job Everyone!

The property need a upgrade the carpets were EXTREMELY dirty and and smelled. The staff and housekeeping were great anything that was needed was giving without any problems
