Comfort Inn Owatonna near Medical Center

Nice place to stay

Air conditioning can use some TLC. The room was pretty warm when we arrived. We set the air conditioner unit to a temperature much cooler than the room was. It took overnight until the room was at a level that was comfortable to me. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bag breakfast was better than others we’ve had at other hotels during the current COVID public health emergency.

Nice hotel. Comfort is god. Plenty of pillows. Good wifi. Decent breakfast.

An "ok" place. It was odd/annoying little things; the television remote didn't work, exhaust fan in bathroom didn't work, drains were slow/backed up, bathroom door was spring loaded, and maybe a missing mirror in the living area.

While searching for hotels in this location, I almost passed by Comfort Inn Medical Center without a glance due to its name. Why would a hotel be called a medical center? I thought for sure there would be weird medical-related items around for public view, but that's not the case at all. Upon arrival, it was your standard Comfort Inn with a friendly, cozy lobby that had coffee, tea, and water available 24 hours a day. The staff was exceptional. From the moment I checked in, to eating breakfast in the buffet room, the staff I encountered were refreshingly courteous, upbeat, joyful, positive, eager to assist, and kind. Boy, do we need kindness in the world today! The employee's disposition was exceptional, and the manager should be encouraged by the company's competent crew. Finally, this hotel is quiet and peaceful. I'm not sure what it would be like hosting a teenage youth conference or hockey team, but on an average stay, it was tranquil. I would recommend for singles, young adults, and young, medium, and older couples. The hotel behind this one has a little water park for the kids and can get exceptionally noisy and loud. Stay here if you desire a peaceful stay.
